Very, very high. Residual is too low. How many miles and what is the term of that quoted lease? I can tell you my lease was much less, and the sticker for the car was roughly the same. M3, white, extended leather, DCT, competition package, executive package, driver assistant package, wireless charging.

As for the RS3, it was on my list but was quickly dropped when I learned it was the front wheel drive biased AWD system. I had a golf-r and it had a similar (if not the same) awd system...it was not for me. I imagine it does not get any better with more power.

36 mo/15k mi. Keep in mind I did add competition & executive packages, DCT + moonroof to both. Don't really want the car without that stuff.

The R has the same system. RS3 is out due to price to lease plus used RS3 is same $ as some used RS7.

That sucks. I thought @ArabianOak said his dealer was still honoring it on his APR tuned RS7. I got a lease quote on the RS3 & it was $1,350 LMFAO WTF?! So yea that's out. I don't buy new & a used RS3 is the same $ as a some used RS7.

Yes. My dealer still does warranty work on my car even with the tune. It’s all dealer dependent.

Do you have that in writing from them? I trust no dealer :D

I imagine the dealer can get some things handled no problem, but anything major like a blown RS7 motor will draw scrutiny from Audi. That car is going to get a thorough colonoscopy from Audi. The dealer probably won’t have much say in that scenario.

Yes, that was my point. My car has the same options (the ones listed in my post above), but it's a 3 year 20k mile lease. Miles are $0.30/mile. So, adding 15k miles adds $4,500 to the lease, which should only be $125 per month for 36 months. So, the quote they gave you is still really high!

Lowest I'm seeing is around $800 a month on a lease. I can't justify that so I'll buy used if that's what I decide to buy. Looks like the 2015 S7/S8 are just as fast as a new RS3 anyway so I'll have to check them out.

I know you have a mazdaspeed 6 (or had?). For me though, AWD just doesn't cut it in a "fun" car. Sure, it's great to always have traction for daily duties, but it sucks when you want to have some fun.

nothing in writing but they sell APR at this dealer and have a special process of checking in APR cars. They literally flash the car to stock once it's in the bay and THEN do the warranty work.

I witnessed it myself.

everytime I've been in for warranty work so far, they assign me to a specific tech and I hear them talking about it being an "APR CAR" lol.

IMO, this is what dealers should do! lol

I agree with you. MS6 is still for sale. If I got an Audi I'd likely keep the Miata, but I'd ditch Jetta too. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up in a RWD car, though. It's in my blood! Wanted to test drive stuff tomorrow, but rain is going to ruin that.

I hope nothing changes with this for your sake. I can't imagine Audi corporate (or VAG) would like to hear your dealer flashes the stock tune before the warranty work is approved. I think they've gotten in enough trouble for software scams...

It must be like bmw...if you get the dinan stuff installed at a dealer, it doesn't affect the warranty. But what I cannot remember is if it's not Dinan's warranty or still BMW. I'd assume Dinan (depending on what breaks). Isn't this how the roush warranty works for mustangs?

All Audi has to do is read the logs and see key/drive cycles, pretty easy to tell it’s been flashed back based on low to no cycle count. I don’t believe any mfr is going to ask for logs on routine minor warranty work, but big ticket stuff, especially on performance models will probably get a closer look.

same reason why I'm honestly not too excited about Tanya's GTR. Yeah they're fast, but its automatic and AWD. Toddler could drive it.

Hey now, these new auto trans are great. I'm only considering auto for whatever I buy. However, the GT-R has always been boring to me, but not because auto.

If going used, and looking at S6/7...have you considered a used M6? They drop in value like crazy and seem to meet your performance/luxury criteria.
