Sorry to hear about a rough night OP, but as @13COBRA said (sorry about your friend, man, RIP) I’m not stopping and putting myelf in danger over joe blow. Tbh with how the world is nowadays i would rather be on the other side of the coin by myself. I don’t need help, I’ll handle it on my own. Don’t want some guy i don’t know stopping behind me. I have no idea what his intentions are.

FlahDah man.
You're exactly right. A friend of mine was shot last night, minding his own business.

He was on his way home from work and some guy ****ed up on drugs and alcohol pulled up next to him at a stoplight and fired a couple rounds in to his BMW i8, he was dead before the paramedics were on site.

Our country is ****ed.
Where do you live? Sounds like Kandahar.

^^^That right there is PRICELESS!!^^^:D

Yup. Rugged Terrain. Going to miss this set.

This is what happened to the last set of BFGs I bought. The rear one popped while towing my trailer on I-95. The tread wrapped around and mangled the exhaust. I had to take it apart and sawzall it into a turn-down dump to get the spare on, but was then able to continue the trip. After about 200 miles later (on my way back home later that day) I got a vibration in the front. I pulled into a truck stop in Manning, SC and notice one of the front tires had a half baseball sized bulge in the tread. Since I was fresh out of spare tires I back the rig in with the road tractors and left it there that night.

The next day I was able to get a brand new spare off a wrecked Duty at a local salvage yard. Haul it back to Manning and finally get the truck back home. I love my new Nitto Ridge Graplers on that truck. :)

In fact, every vehicle own now sports Nitto tires.

Morbid dude, just morbid. I've stopped many times and never shot. Maybe a KC thing? Move to Richmond and get out of the hood..

Hahahahaha this is rich. I have read anything this funny in years. Richmond is a shithole. You have been lucky to not have been
Shot or robbed yet.

That is the sad statement of what we have become. Afraid to help someone because too many times it ends badly. Used to be you would do it and not think about it. Not any more. Heck I used to hitchhike all over the place but would not even dream of doing so now.

I used to hitchhike all over as well not anymore tho. I also used to stop and help but not any more. In today’s world of cell phones there is no need anymore. I will occasionally stop and see if they need me to call anyone but that is about it.

It is a real shame that the bad outways the good anymore and people are assholes

Well, that sucks! Sorry that happened. I've run BFG's on all of my trucks for as long as I can remember, and this is the first time I've had a problem. As of 12:00 PM today, I am now wearing 4 new KO2's in 285/75R16. Smooth as glass as fast as I care to take it. I now suspect I had issues for far longer than I thought before.

To everyone else regarding stop for help, I guess I'll rethink that. It really is a sad statement that we don't feel safe to stop and help another person though.

And RDJ, Richmond is no worse, or better than any other city, so long as you know where the trouble spots are. 13Cobra, sorry for your loss, and didn't mean to make a dickhead offhand comment.

That's a scary situation and one that I've been in. When I was 18 and a freshman in college, I got brand new tires put on my Roush. I was driving west on I-10 about 25 miles east of Tallahassee and there was a slight vibration that started. I pressed the brakes a little to load the front, seeing if the vibration worsened, which it didn't. All of the sudden, the car let go and was all over the place. I slowed it down and pulled over as a big bit of smoke passed over the car. Apparently the tire shop didn't inflate the tire enough and the sidewalls melted from the heat.

Just like you, I was on the side of the road at around midnight and not one car stopped. One car even beeped like, "Haha." I put the spare on and limped it home.

Just one of the holes big enough to put your hand through. Brand new tires.

To the people that have had their tires blow while towing, you definitely need to pump up the tires to the proper PSI when loading them that much.

A jackass pulled a gun on me in Downtown Louisville last summer. I just pulled up beside him to mention that he had knocked the mirror off my suburban. He pulled a gun and I left right away. I guess a 9mm is cheaper than car insurance. I dont carry a gun anymore, if I had put a hole in a man with a car full of kids and had to hire a lawyer, and defend myself in court. Prolly be called a racist. $776.00 for a mirror was not that bad. Oh, and 911 didnt pick up for 8 minutes. Good job L.P.D.

Sucks but I do t stop for anyone. Too much risk these days. I can’t get a CCW in MD or it’s at least crazy hard. My wife has orders if she gets a flat she can slowly limp it to a safe space for me to meet her, I couldn’t care less the damage done to the car.

What exactly stopped you from calling non emergency dispatch, or 911 for that matter, and requesting an officer to assist? Maybe even AAA if you can’t handle it yourself. I’ll be honest, I feel the same about helping people, but I also know all too well what this world can possibly offer so...among other things I always have my gun, a cordless impact and jack, along with emergency lighting. While help is always nice, you can’t expect it in this day and time and frankly I’d prefer not to have it. I’m as leary about people stopping for me as they probably are stopping for you.
I’ve called many times to notify someone broken down or with a flat that needs help.
