John, thanks for replying. Your daughter had posted her pictures back a few years ago willingly under a name that isn’t hard to find. I did pull a few posts in this thread that did show her, but, again she did that on her own accord. I/ we aren’t throwing her “under the bus.” She also made a new user name that was easy to find, and if if it’s tried again we get them. Got to love technology.
My whole point here, you came off a pompous ass with John J Garvey crap like we didn’t know who you are based on your user name, and your whole point was to sell this car. I’m sure it’s great, but again, there’s been zero interaction from you on this site. Is that against the rules, no sir. It does make one question crap, especially when I get calls, messages from members I’ve known for a while. Dear Smooth, I do not know who you are. That is not an insult to you, I simply cannot recall your name. I'm not going to search this site for it - my one attempt resulted in "the site" telling me you restrict who looks at your profile. Correct? Do you want to give up your full name and refresh my memory? I don't recall what happened between us - you either changed your mind and/or you bought another Cobra. No harm, no foul. I delete dead conversations off my iphone, it constantly reminds me to upgrade because the memory is full or some b.s. like that. Did you buy another Cobra? Congratulations. No hard feelings. The deal brewing at 816 was me, but after I asked a few questions he was rude and told me he wasn't interested in talking cars. This was after asking to see hood pictures, driver bolster and making one comment about preferring a coupe but I was considering a very. I quit texting after that.

I say charge new members that want to only use the classified ads an advertising fee.

I enjoy the people here, and look forward to chatting with the regular members. I am not interested in those without a legitimate business, using any forum, as if it is Craigslist.

While I had Grudgebike.com I would kill ads that were not from contributing members. Most are looking to unload their crap on unexpecting people.

I watched this thread from the beginning and it looks like maybe some amends have been made. In the beginning I thought his ad was a bit odd, including the full name thing, and ill admit i chuckled at some of the responses you guys made. I did also feel bad for JGG since he seemed like he might be a decent guy, just a dude looking to sell his car, been there. Heck i joined looking for one, I did, and im still poking around in here daily. But also as someone who is on a bunch of forums of all types, and seen alot of internet BS, I cant say I have ever seen a Mod get in on the action and even fan the flames a bit. The guy deserved some poking and stern questioning about the condition of the car since it was questionable, but man, I really think the guy was treated like shit unfairly and the site should be a bit embarrassed by that. Just about any other site would have shut the crap down asap.

JGG, If i ran into you, Id have a beer with you, and as car guys, I am sure we would find some common ground.
