Just had my 2013 GT500 get off the rollers yesterday with some pretty good results. Ported and polished my inlet and added a 67 MM VMP throttle body, bumped it up 50 at the wheels and 60 lb torque. Time for some sticky Mickeys !

14’ GT500 - regular stuff, ID1300s, Cam, stock pulley / blower.

83x 80X on E-85. I believe the best pull was 834 / 801 on stock pulley. Video is previous 805-810 tune. I think it’s apparent that both dynos were being generous.

Will see what it does with new motor / blower in two months. Someone showed me some badass 1100+ cars from down south running VMP/KB/Whipples. I need to dig through all these pages, I’d love to see some more cars not on turbos making 1000-1500. Seems there are 4 cars on YouTube reposted a million times.

2011....was that Lund's Race Tune with waiver or just that from your datalogs. Your torque curve is plum crazy!
I did the waiver to have timing stay in from 3-5K and improved fuel but that race tune range was within limits of shops here.
Hey sorry I just saw this. The tune that's on the car is just basic 93 Oct tune.

Baseline run on 2013 GT500 was 584 / 613. Completely stock. No mods.

Installed Kooks LT Headers, Off-road X, and Kooks Mufflers, along with a JLT cold air (148) and a Lund Tune. The mods resulted in 654 / 650. Very happy with the results.

FYI. The Kooks mufflers with the black tips look great, but be prepared for it to be loud under boost and very loud under WOT.

These cars love the basic mods. Just add a tire, gear and MGW shifter and enjoy hanging with anything around!

Forgot to post mine from last fall. 2013 with only a borla cat back. 613hp and 615tq on the best pulls. 43k miles on her too. If I recall the afr was a bit fat though. I think she would do well with some small tweaks/mods. But what to do?

Great numbers!

The "usual" tweaks include intake, throttle body, elbow, pulley, plugs, and tune. All but the tune can be installed in your garage with hand tools. Properly tuned, they should provide ~100 RWHP increase over stock.

I'm game with all that, but the pulley makes me nervous. Ive only got access to 93 shell where I am, and I do like it, and never have had a problem with my 93 tuned V6 on it. How much will the pulley change boost, and will it be safe with 93? Plugs go to TR6's with more boost and a tune correct?

I rely on my tuner to keep me out of trouble, because I'm not an expert. That said, you should be fine with good quality 93 octane gas.
- You can manage the boost via pulley size. (IIRC, the "usual" 2.4" increases boost a modest 2 psi.)
- Go with an experienced tuner who does things safely (e.g., BJ McCarty, VMP, Lund).
- No more over-rev following the upgrade (i.e., stay below 6250RPM).

YMMV but, FWIW, my local tuner recommended NGK TR7-IX plugs when I installed these upgrades a couple of years ago. (Results posted several pages back.)

Ah yes, colder plugs, higher number. Makes sense. I've had VMP in mind for my tuning, but there is a guy in NH that's done a ton of these cars, and basically anything with boost on it they have done.

Thanks for the tips!

I have the combo Norton recommended above for you. JLT intake, FRPP65mm TB, 2.4 Upper pulley, Off Road X-pipe and 3.73 Gear and a good tune.

You will be fine on 93 octane but that will be as far as you can go without upgrading to a fuel Boost a Pump or more fuel basically. It will be close to maxing out.

Otherwise get some wider and sticky tires like Toyo R888 or Nitto NT05 and have fun.
