Cool. I like the retractable bed cover option.
The color + grey plastic trim + that ugly ass thing on the bed/behind the cab make this try incredibly bland looking. Looks way better in that shit color it was unveiled in.

Yeah, I do think with a better color choice, like the two you mention, would make a difference to the eye. Those wheels IMO would look nice if they were done in black chrome.
Then you would have been waiting for over 2 years for an airbag replacement like me. Ford loves to send you a letter about it. I just got one last week saying they now have parts, and they might, but my nearest dealer can't even order it.

+1 on new Ranger being too big. When I think Ranger I think Dodge Dakota, Chevy s10 the toyotas with their decals peeling off, the nissan hard bodies, etc...
The thing that is note worthy is the output of that 2.0 TT Diesel. Throw one of those in a late 90s Ranger.

@SID297 there is a local in my area that has a Ranger with Mexico plates on it. The truck has been here for a few months.

Maybe the styling is boring to make it affordable? Their trucks aren’t cheap! Does look like a Ridgeline.

I kind of like that it looks foreign.
I really like these rangers. And ford must like them too. Because they keep trying to get people to trade them in for additional $2500+ to buy a new ford on top of all other rebates
