Oh... Just remembering you asked about the lower Valance.

I left mine off for a week or so and then tried to put it on and it would actually go on but you really had to cram it in there and probably have to cut just a small hole on the driver side and I just said **** it and left it off.

You may need the crank down or out on those rubber Hood Stoppers to better stabilize the hood if it's getting sloppy on you.

My car see's 140 upwards of 160 at least once a week on the interstate and I've never noticed it to move.

The whole car used to float at those mile per hours but I put a set of koni yellow Sports on it and it's perfect. Just leave them on their softest setting and enjoy the ride.

no prob. I'd love to just leave that thing off as I'm tired of adding zip ties and other stuff to hold it perfectly in place. Maybe the hood won't flutter without it at all? Maybe when the valance is there, but allowed to wobble it creates the buffeting due to the rapid pressure changes? It's the rear edge of the hood that goes totally crazy - near the windshield. At first I thought it was just my car, but then: https://www.svtperformance.com/foru...ake-more-violently-as-speed-increases.948107/

A couple instances where nothing else works including adj the hood stoppers. A guy or two said it will create a bit of aero drag without it. I'm thinking with it installed WITH holes in it for the IC piping - I'd bet money my hood will be dancing again. It was bad! Ugh :(

I see, I will try that as well. I just hope my hood doesn't start fluttering after that! we shall see! Come to think of it, I think I need a new lower air deflector - mine is shot. The holes where the bolts go through are tore up and I made some straps (almost like having huge washers) to hold it...but it's time I guess.

Did you use the 3.5" rubber 90 elbow that came with the Procharger kit to connect up to your Boss IM? I have the same setup and I ordered a new hose there, hoping that it will mate right to the TB even with the different angle created by the Boss IM. The stock IM has the TB pointed slightly upward, and the Boss IM has it pointed slightly downward. Just wondering...

Hope the valance works out for you. If I get bored I may try again....but I doubt it.

Beating on it I get 17-18mpg.....but mostly get 20-21. We've gone on trips before and got 23-24.

So I doubt there is much measurable wind resistance.

That's what I figure as well - can't be much of an appreciable difference. That's ridiculous mileage with this kind of power. Gotta love it man!
Let me know on that Boss IM hose connection if you recall what you used there.

No boss manifold for me....still on stock 11-14. But with that 2018 getting rave reviews and Bill approving it... It's hard not to spend the 250 bucks for 40ish whp.

I'm just a guy in my 40s that drives to work Monday through Friday so any horsepower over stock is pretty useless for me... But it does make me smile on terrible days at work.

sorry I asked the wrong guy - meant for imeyers

I'm right with you 100%, I'm also just a guy in my 40s (with 5 kids ) and all this power and crap I'm hanging on my car is silly...now - bring it on! :D I will say the last two years I got a little into road course racing at my local track for SCCA events. I loved it, and my kids had a blast watching me run around the track, etc. I used to drive this car 5 days a week all year for almost 3 years - winter and snow tires and all ;-) . I can't stand owning something that just sits around in the garage doing nothing but depreciating.

Funny.....i did the autocross thing with my 02 2valve. No power but full maximum motorsports suspension.

Nothing is wrong with it besides that grinding 3rd gear but it just sits in the garage until I can figure out what I really want to do with the car.

Realistically I'd like to drop a built and turbo coyote motor in it and go for a thousand horsepower to be really stupid... But then my logical side just says throw a small blower on it and call it a day.

The TB tube is the same on the boss kit & the std GT kit. Also in addition to the boss intake working I can confirm the 2018 intake works fine with the tube and would almost guarantee the gt350 intake would work just fine as well. The 2018 intake has a more upward angle and the fitment is pretty tight but works.

Bill... What are your thoughts on a ported 2018 manifold? And now that you've had yours on for a while do you feel a tune revision is actually necessary?

I did the autocross thing with my Mazdaspeed3. I had it just under 3000lbs with around 330 to the wheels (front wheels ) with lots of suspension stuff. It would out-handle and out-maneuver my Stang any day of the week. Fun and well-balanced car, but... I got tired of WWD (Wrong Wheel Drive) issues, the MS3 crowd is "different" (to say it nicely) and I loved the road course - where the coyote shines... and I love Mustangs so... ditched it for my 13 GT.

I don't believe so, not on s197's that is. S550 is vastly different and would require one but 11-14 you should be fine without one IMHO.

Cool... I think all the hype and back order is kind of going away so I'll try to pick one up for about 250 bucks.

I think it's hilarious people buying these manifolds from speed shops or performance shops for over $300 and you can get the things straight from your Ford dealer for 250. Lmao

supply and demand man, when there were so many people reporting them showing up broken I know I even considered going through a speed shop so I know they would package it properly before it ships back out.
