Those of you that have had the pass side inflator replaced, can you post up the part number that was installed, listed on the receipt?

I have a local dealer that's supposedly ordered a part for my wife's '08 like 3 weeks ago, supposedly it's different than the other models, which I don't believe, and I'm getting sick of waiting.
Parts are now available, he has the inflators in stock, his parts dept is being stupid.

I was a Ford Service Writer for almost 10 years, I would've had the part by now, 3 weeks is just ridiculous.

Passenger airbag inflator part# FMC 5R3Z 63044A74 B

I actually came in to have it installed and they couldn't find it in parts dept. This was actually the 2nd go around. Anyway the parts guy is telling me the p/n is 6G7Z-63044A74-A. Which is different then the p/n Steve provided. I wouldn't think the '07 MY would be different? From what Ford reps are telling me the passenger air bags are different between the standard Mustang & our GT500's?

Steve, that p/n is from your receipt?

Thanks!

According to the latest recall, 17S01, that part # is to be used only for the 2012 Mustang and the 2005-2006 Ford GT (the supercar).
The 2005-2009 Mustang uses part# 5R3Z-63044A74-B

There is another Safety Recall coming, Recall 18S01. It covers certain 2009-2010 and 2013 Mustangs.

I wonder why everyone is confused with all these recalls?

All the info about 18S01:
https://ford.oemdtc.com/3326/passen...y-explode-2009-2010-2013-ford-mercury-lincoln

Apparently my '13 Mustang won't get recalled (at least not yet, maybe under 19S01 next year?) cuz it was never registered in the states listed:

Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013 Ford Mustang vehicles sold, or ever registered in the states of Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands or “Zone A.”

Additionally, Ford is recalling certain 2010 Ford Edge, Fusion, Mustang and Ranger, Lincoln MKX and Zephyr/MKZ, and Mercury Milan vehicles ever registered in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia or “Zone B.”

Ford is also recalling certain 2009 Ford Edge, Fusion, Mustang and Ranger, Lincoln MKX and Zephyr/MKZ, and Mercury Milan vehicles ever registered in the states of Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming or “Zone C.”

Was able to confirm the right p/n with the local Ford parts guy. It's the p/n that both Steve & Gabe provided:

5R3Z-63044A74-B

Thanks!

You're welcome!
I got an appointment for the wife's Shelby for Monday morning with the dealership she bought it from.
It's about an hour drive each way, but it's supposed to be a beautiful sunny day with temps in the mid-60's ... should make for a nice ride both there and back :)

Will report back as soon as I can.

Mines still on order.. it's been about 3 weeks. Guess my dealer is not on the ball like some of the other dealers.

I go to a small town dealer. Went in Tuesday to set up a date and got a call Thursday that it was in and come on in on Friday. This is what is nice about the small town dealer. They only have 5 work bays and they allow you to watch them do the work.

Got the recall done on the passenger side airbag on the wife's Shelby today.
In and out in about 90 minutes.
And I think it only took that long cuz it took about 45 minutes for it to get dispatched.

Known about mine for nearly 2 years, dealer still can’t tell me when I’ll have replacements. The hilarious thing is they replaced the driver airbag in my GT and now that airbag has a recall.

Pick your poison.

The first recall part (inflator, not airbag) was found to be pretty much the same as the part they were replacing.
So now they have "new and improved" inflators they're installing under the current recall.

What year is your car?
