Since when did Mustangs become hipster cars?

I've noticed that with the S550 Mustang it has brought A-LOT of hipster owners into our community. I can't help but shake my head when I hear people that have never been Mustang enthusiasts talk about Mustangs like they know anything.

Maybe I've missed something in my absence lately.

Out of curiosity, what is making it a "hipster car?" I've met people with 2vs, 3vs, 5.0s who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground as far as "being a mustang enthusiast and acting like you know anything" goes.

I've noticed that foxbodies have become like the E30. They are the funky weird 80's car to have now. Everyone wants that nostaligic but not 60's vibe. 80's seems to be the new in now.

I just like my shit square box and always have. Don't care if it's hipster or not.

Sorry it should have read "Hipsters' cars" but I see this has triggered you so it must hit home.

The s550 in general looks like a hipster car. It looks more European than it does American.

The original Mustang was DESIGNED to look European lol

So that doesn't make sense. Nor does the thought of Hipsters' cars = European. I'd say they are more Japanese cars than anything. Mainly Toyota and Scion.

As a retired hipster, Volvo's and BMW's of the 80's era are the hipster car to have. Or old benz. The squarer the shit box the better

Was suppose to but it didn't in my opinion. It was boxy like the Camaro at the time. BMW and VW are the big hipster brands. If you notice almost all s550's on social media have bags and dildo looking things for shifters. Which is a hipster thing to do.
