Oil Pump and Crank Sprocket Gears

I recently installed the Whipple Stage 1 kit on my S550 and was looking for advice on swapping the oil pump and crank sprocket gears. In terms of power I won't be doing anything beyond the Whipple 750hp tune they supplied with the SC kit. Does anyone have experience doing this? If I'm not going to be racing the car, how important is it to swap these out? The Whipple install took me 2 1/2 days in the garage, and I don't have any free weekends coming up, so I'm considering letting a shop do this for me. Thanks in advance.

Get it done or do it yourself but the bottom line in my opinion is swap out the stock for the billet ones. They can break on the street you don't have to be racing for them to let go. You have 700+hp you are gonna drive it hard and if not why put the supercharger on. It's not to bad of a job, if you installed the Whipple you can most likely do it yourself.

I'm gonna go ahead and order them. I'm sure I can do it myself, and its going save me like $400 that way. Gonna have to push back my wheels and tires upgrade a little further.

It's good insurance, wheels and tires won't do much good if you break a crank sprocket and blow the engine. I would say it's easy $400+ to have it done.

I ordered from Lethal Performance and got the oil pump gears and crank sprocket for $260. I had a lot of rewards points from them due to all my past purchases and was able to use them. I probably won't be able to put them on for 3 - 4 weeks, I'll just take it easy until I get the chance. I do tend to rail on it quite a bit and even more so since adding the SC. You, Whipple, and a lot of others have told me it's recommended to get it done. I think it's a good idea.
