Own a bone stock 07 GT500 less a 08 crank pulley and a aftermarket afco heat exchanger with dual fans and own a SCT tuner that is for this car.

Whats the easiest and most cost effective way to get high 500 rwhp at the rear wheels ?

thanks

don

Hmm well imo I would talk with a reputable tuner (Lund, VMP) or someone in your area. Let them know your goals. BUT I would see what is the highest octane of fuel in your area, might start with a cold air intake and 2.5 pulley, depending on your fuel 2.5 and a 10% lower puller or 2.6 and 10% lower. With just a pulley tune and cold air, you should be around 550 or a little more, with the right fuel and 2.5 or 2.6 and 10% lower should be close to 600.

A pulley, intake, and tune won't get you there with a 07-09... porting the stock Eaton with aforementioned mods plus a larger throttle body, maybe close. Find a good 123mm CAI, 65 or 67mm dual bore throttle body, and used 2.3L TVS (there will be plenty for sale with VMP Gen3 now released).

Check my thread on Trinity TVS install. I included part numbers and prices.

Factory ford parts and a whipple TB car made 643 whp stock upper and lower pulleys.

All new parts for about $2700 including injectors, 2.3 blower, TB, and elbow.

Cheapest route would be a trinity blower swap.

If you’re not worried about downtime...you could take your stock blower off instead and get it ported (plus add a smaller pulley, car & tune).

Don’t waste your money like I did when I started. Skip the stock blower and get you a 2.3 trinity with 2.4 pulley for cheap. With a c&l 113 intake, 72lb Bosch injectors, and everything else stock I made 631 hp to the wheels.

Don’t get me wrong I made 551 with stock blower on same setup. It was fun and fast, but then I wanted more and more. I would have been better off just going tvs from start

Above is good info, Trinity swap. But. I'd do some serious suspension mods first or very soon.
A stock '07 will be bouncing off both sides of the road with added power.
If you can't hold it in the road, all the added power will be nothing but dangerous.
Everybody adds power, then comes back to suspension/traction later. Save yourself the trouble.
Do some homework first.

Actual cost analysis/comparison:

Factory M122 Eaton Setup - (Produced 609 RWHP,578 RWTQ)
Posi ported M-122 Eaton...................$400
VMP 67mm throttle body...................$480
Port matched L &M plenum................$180
Autoliberte 2.40" upper pulley............$160
JLT 123mm CAI................................$290
Magnaflow Axleback..........................$423
MRT off road H pipe..........................$100
NGK BR7EF Spark Plugs.....................$18
Lund Custom Tune............................$250
Total.............................................$2,301

Trinity 13/14 2.3 TVS Setup
- (Estimate 660+ RWHP, 600+ RWTQ)
Trinity Supercharger.........................$1,500
VMP 67mm throttle body...................$480
BPS 2.40" upper pulley..................,...$85
JLT 123mm CAI................................$290
Magnaflow Axleback..........................$423
MRT off road H pipe..........................$100
NGK BR7EF Spark Plugs.....................$18
VMP Dual Boost a Pump.....................$400
Ford 13/14 56 lb Injectors.................$170
Lund Custom Tune............................$650
Total.............................................$4,116

Notes:

- All parts listed above, I have purchased and are actual costs. Trinity is sitting on the desk in my office. Nice conversation piece...
- Obviously, don't "have" to buy throttle body or exhaust. But why run either of these two blower setups and choke them to death.
- Also have a 10% lower and long tube headers ($1,540) that can/could be installed on either setup. The Trinity setup would undoubtedly reap more benefit from these modifications.
- Conclusions: The Eaton can hit the 600 RWHP level for significantly less money. Going the Trinity route in the future will cost me $1,815 more and produce 50+ more RWHP. And for another $1,540, can probably come pretty darn close to 700.
