Great info ! Does the difference in angle on tb affect anything on the fitment dept ?

Thanks for the write up

You are welcome!

The TB can go on two different ways, stock with the electronics on the pass side or flipped with the electronics on the drivers side, there was no difference in performance at all from what I could tell and it allowed me to easily connect the connector to the Throttle body this way rather than splitting the loom to see if I could get it to reach another inch which would've been a stretch I believe. I think some have had more slack than mine did so it might not be necessary in all cases.

Is a tune change a must? Also...do you need to raise the rev limiter to the moon to reap the benefits?

From the dyno graphs I've seen thus far all the gains were from 5500rpms & up and most carried to well past 7200 rpms. I don't believe a tune change is a must however if I installed one and didn't do my own tuning I would have my tuner review a log to make sure no tune changes need to be made. The ONLY thing I changed in my tune was the intake manifold volume scalar, however in my previous testing changing this scalar made almost no difference in the tune so I personally don't believe a tune adjustment is necessary to be perfectly honest.

Also....do you have the part number for that manifold handy?

Damn....why are some places selling them for 330 when you can get it from ford for 250????

because finding a ford dealer that stocks them is next to impossible and there is alot of hype surrounding the intake now so they are charging a supply & demand charge basically. Its pretty normal business practice as most brick & morter dealers won't price match an online price. I have a friend that works at a ford dealer so he was able to price match for me. Because alot of these intakes were arriving broken at the studs I wanted to have my best recourse possible if it did arrive broken, this way I could just open the box there and tell them its ****ed and take it back and get me a new one.

search the PN, you can find them for $260 shipped pretty easily, just cross your fingers it gets to you undamaged :)

i run a vortech v3 on my 14 so my tb is already flipped , you answered i think most of my concerns , the last one was simply how the angle may affect my set up as far as couplers and piping needing to be tweaked ... should be ok ... still thinking if i want to go from around 700whp to whatever the manifold makes , maybe 740? ... on oem longblock ... lol ..thank you again

So is the power range on the 2018 intake similar to the gen 1 and 2 coyote stock intakes, IE, does it only make power up until about 6800 rpm or so and then fall off?

I was about to order one and save it for when I am ready to install, but now I am nervous reading about them showing up broken. Where exactly are the breaks? Should I take a chance for $260 or get it locally when available? If I have to pay $400, I'll probably pass. If I can get it for $260, hell yeah. I have a lot to do with my 2014 Track Pack. I just got the thing and it is bone stock. I need to do exhaust first. I can't stand how quiet it is. I had an S trim on my Fox with a Dart block 347, but these Coyotes start out so much better that I might just keep it NA and focus on a track setup instead of a drag setup. I would love to get it to trap 120mph NA though. I am thinking that maybe I should get all my upgrades done to the exhaust and intake and then head over to AED for the tune instead of getting the tune first. I know the intake won't do much with stock shift points. I really don't want to lose any midrange torque. I loved how much torque my blown 347 had. Do we know yet if the intake loses torque somewhere on an NA setup over the stocker? I won't go with a Boss because of how much torque it loses. If it does lose torque with the IMRC wide open, can you set it up with it say half closed or something less than wide open or is it just setup to work fully open and fully closed? I was just thinking if I didn't want to shift past 7200rpm then maybe I could close the IMRC a little to get some of the lost torque back if it does indeed lose some torque.

What's the cost of an 18 manifold, and how does the power stack up against a boss? I never really considered an intake swap with boost, but that Palm beach dyno video definitely has me thinking. 50 ish horses and a little lesst boost sounds like a damn good deal!

Just wanted to confirm before mine comes in. I'm Procharged as well with a Cobra Jet and am having part throttle issues which Lund says in a result of the gt500 TB being a draw through design, not a blow through.

The stock 2014 TB will bolt right up w/o clearance issues?

Thanks
