Has anyone widened 2000 cobra r wheels and put on sn95?

I have a 1998 Cobra that i have put OEM ford cobra R 2000 wheels on. I am going to get them widened to 10.5 or 11". i was just wondering if anyone else may have done this, and what spacer (if any) it would require and what to expect with different tire sizes etc. The car has KW coil overs and a MM torque arm suspension. The OEM Y2K Cobra wheel is 9.5 inches wide. If you are adding an inch of width, I would go with a 1 inch wheel spacer, make sure you get a high quality hubcentric spacer.

thanks for the reply.. so do you think 295 would be the largest tire i could use or 305? or would i have to roll the fender??

I have 18x10s in the rear with a 305. No rub and no rolled fenders either. How tall of a tire you getting?

i was gonna also go with 305 35 18 in the rear. all i could find was toyos. I bet they fit perfect. I'm glad to here no fender roll needs to happen.

There's no guarantee that you won't rub with a wider wheel and tire. I have an 18x10 wheel with a 295/35/18 tire on my rear and I rub on the passenger side if I'm not careful taking angles over an incline. I've been fortunate thus far to not cut my tire.

I have factory 2000 cobra r wheels widened on my 00r from 9.5" to 10.5". Currently, I run a 295/35/18 nitto nt05 on a 3/4" spacer. I could easily run a 305 series nitro on my car. Weldcraft did my wheels.

Is there a particular reason why you didn't do 11"?

Anyone have a set of these wheels for sale???
