Same here.I spend plenty of time on my computer at home
I only use my phone to text and use the interwebs when at work during break and lunch time. Other than that, I'm always on the home pc.

Hence my comment on being a sheepdog. I enjoy people watching (not in a creepy way) but just to watch mannerisms, etc... It makes for a boring scene to see everyone’s face within line of sight lit up like a corpse in the non-flattering screen glow. It's sad when you go out to a restaurant and you see everyone's faces buried in their phones not having a conversation with the people sitting on the opposite side of the table from them.

We have a similar rule as when we were growing up; no phone use while eating dinner.

Guilty. I own a smart watch.Yeh im feeln it. However, my rep told me they dont allow people to go backwards. Only way to have one is to already have one and to never have went to smart phone. Life was just fine and we all survived without smart phones. Life went on. We all still worked just fine.
Now the rage is smart watches. Jesus H Christ man.

Not anymore. They used to make the phone with the slide out keyboard. Last gal I dated had one until she dropped it in the Thanksgiving gravy. That was just this last Thanksgiving by the way. Had to add that last line after I proofread my post.Do they make a non smart phone that is easy to text on?
Don't know if I can go back to using the numbers again.

no, but Im pretty close to deleting fakebook
Did this back in Jan. Still use the smartphone around the house like a tablet but never take it anywhere.I return stateside in a couple weeks, and I think I want to simplify things by shifting to a flip phone. When I was home last month, I was just in shock of everyone staring at phones like Zombies in a public place. It’s not just the anti-social aspect of things, but also the complete loss of situational awareness. I like to people watch as much as the next guy, but I feel more like a sheep dog standing watch over the helplessly self-absorbed. I’m sure it is related to age too - I’ll complete my 55th lap around the sun this year. Thoughts?
