Another non smartphone owner here. When I was working would be on the phone 10 hours a day so the last thing I wanted was looking into a cell phone after work hours. My stupid(flip) phone suits me just fine....lol. I do enjoy though watching the zombies with their faces buried in smartphones.

It's sad when you go out to a restaurant and you see everyone's faces buried in their phones not having a conversation with the people sitting on the opposite side of the table from them.
Hence my comment on being a sheepdog. I enjoy people watching (not in a creepy way) but just to watch mannerisms, etc... It makes for a boring scene to see everyone’s face within line of sight lit up like a corpse in the non-flattering screen glow.

We have a similar rule as when we were growing up; no phone use while eating dinner.

I use FB to keep up with friends I went to school with. That's about it. Other than that I only use instagram and SVTP.

Out to dinner, or enjoying dinner with the family, ignore the phone.

Enjoying time with friends or family; ignore the phone.

People need to learn self control.

Yeh im feeln it. However, my rep told me they dont allow people to go backwards. Only way to have one is to already have one and to never have went to smart phone. Life was just fine and we all survived without smart phones. Life went on. We all still worked just fine.

Now the rage is smart watches. Jesus H Christ man.

Do they make a non smart phone that is easy to text on?
Don't know if I can go back to using the numbers again.
Not anymore. They used to make the phone with the slide out keyboard. Last gal I dated had one until she dropped it in the Thanksgiving gravy. That was just this last Thanksgiving by the way. Had to add that last line after I proofread my post.

I was on face **** years ago. My SN was Haywood Jawblomee. Never had the desire to go back. I'll keep the phone for the camera, sports updates and the weather.

FlahDah man.
I return stateside in a couple weeks, and I think I want to simplify things by shifting to a flip phone. When I was home last month, I was just in shock of everyone staring at phones like Zombies in a public place. It’s not just the anti-social aspect of things, but also the complete loss of situational awareness. I like to people watch as much as the next guy, but I feel more like a sheep dog standing watch over the helplessly self-absorbed. I’m sure it is related to age too - I’ll complete my 55th lap around the sun this year. Thoughts?
Did this back in Jan. Still use the smartphone around the house like a tablet but never take it anywhere.
My kids use it for snapchat mostly.

You will miss the instant info at your finger tips.

Also, you will realize no one likes to call and they hate answering their phones.

The best thing is it fits in my front pocket without jimmying up my jimmy.
