Awesome car but (I'm gonna get flamed) what's the point of all that power if you can hardly ever get traction? Same with Hellcat, demon, ect.

Maybe just roll around with triple r's and pray for no rain?

Seems mclaren has ironed out traction with their tech compared to the others?

Mike certainly wastes no time using his cars. I wish we saw more supercars, hypercars being used the way he does.

Does he, though? I've seen a ton of his videos and in the majority of them, his cars are either in the shop for something or on the way to the shop for something. He drives his truck more than anything. I think I've seen, at most, 3 videos of him actually running his cars. Does he have another channel somewhere where he shows his cars in action? Because, for the most part, his videos are boring as hell. Just a bunch of dudes standing around circle jerking all the time or him vlogging. (And it's hard to tell him and that other big headed dude that looks like him apart. He has a channel, too. I forget his name, but I'm sure y'all know who I mean.)

You can peddle a car, you just have to really know the car. All that power eventually works you get going fast enough. It doesn't have to be an on/off scenario. I bet the Traction Control in that thing probably erases alot of your concern as well, so it probably is just floor it and hold on.

Drag Radials are impressive regarding how much power you can put down. That thing has like a 350 rear wide tire, pair with a rain friendly DR (NT05R/ET Street) and your in business.

Looks awesome, but am I mistaken in remembering stock M6 Hellcats have dynoed at 660 rwhp?
A lot of the new perf cars are dynoing very close to what they make “advertised”. Still, first ZR1 dyno on a green car to boot.

Yes, a lot of performance oriented vehicles are dynoing well because the manufacturers know they will be dynoed and called out immediately.

BMW has been doing it for years and it's nice to see other companies starting to give more conservative numbers on claimed hp.

HCs dyno at about 640.

TC still leaves a lot to be desired. It kills the throttle tremendously if you don't have it in track or sport mode, and even in sport mode, it still tends to do too much at times.

You use all of the torque almost immediately and you use all of the power in the upper speeds, so it's not a waste. I actually paid attention to my HC and it tells you how much power you're using. It would show I was using most of the tq and about 500-600hp up to around 70-80mph, then hp goes up as you hit the 100s. You can use more than you think ,you just have to have some good roads

Of courses you’d get flamed and humiliation on the street unless you run a comp tire. All my cars run drag radials full time. Well the Hellcat goes snow tire to drag radial but it’s sll about the tire.
There was just a rented Maclaren story of wrecking in the rain so no big power car can be driven without respect and the right rubber.

I see your point but wrecking in the rain is common sense with high hp no traction but it seems no one but McLaren can make a rwd hook consistently on street tires....

I cant wait to them at the track with some tires on them. They make 100 more whp then a Zo6 and i have seen many of them run good numbers so the zr1 should really fly. I say very low 10s at a good track.

Guitarnaggedon? Lol, I don't really watch his videos but Mike's I certainly do. I only watch it for the vettes. I guess what I'm trying to say is his cars aint no garage queen. Ive watched his videos for over a year now and even though the vette might be in and out of shop, he does drive them.

I wouldn’t say that. They’re all over the place. They’ve dyno’d as high and higher than this on dyno jets. A demon just put down 78x I believe, on a dyno jet. Im curious to see what a well broken in car will do on a mustang dyno.

Awesome factory car. Call me a nitpicker, but the first thing I noticed in the video was his aftermarket garage door opener clipped onto the visor. GM's gotta know that every single one of these cars gets kept in garage, so I can't freakin' believe they don't have the universal programmable door opener buttons on the visor.

SO.MUCH.WANT!!! Love the C7 cars. Awesome stuff.
Now we know why the new GT500 is going to take even longer to come out. LOL (I kid, I kid.) Oh boy Ford has it's hands full. The Hellcats, the Demon, the Z06, and ZL1. OH!!!,...add the new ZR1 to that list! LMFAO :D

I think hes talking about troy lol. I used to watch SS717 a lot. But recently his videos are too clickbaity and spends to much time at shanes shop talking about nothing.
