I'm a black on black mustang fan till I die, unfortunately. My ceramic coating has made the paint maintenance a breeze now though. I was looking at an SB with like 80K and he wanted 21K for it. Wasn't going to spend that much for that many miles. Ended up finding a black one with 10,500 miles in the state over for 24.5K. I think the low mileage SB, CO, DSG, MC ones can get these prices but a lot of the abused ones think they can get a premium also. I don't agree.
Cermic coat still gets dirty. Lol
Hoping my new coat of gyeon protects better against marring than the car pro...

CO should command a $10k premium! Especially since I may sell mine in the next year! ;) Definitely think CO is at the top then MC, SB and OW are right there too. I really like how clean a OW Cobra looks.

Fixed it! I was joking since mine might be on the market in the future.

I know when I bought mine in '06 the color seemed to really vary the price. I searched high and low to find my SB coupe. Paid a premium ($24k) for a high mileage car (43k) as well.

It's funny you say 24K is a premium for one of the most popular colors that was only 3 years old at the time. I guess peoples ideas of premium varies as much as color.

I bought my Satin Silver coupe in 07 with 27K miles on it and I paid $27K for it. It has about 45.5K miles on it now (That's almost 1700 miles a year since I bought it). I don't think I paid a premium for it, but market value. However, due to it being silver I'm not sure someone would pay $27K for it today, but I'm sure you could get more than 24K for your SB today.

Again, just goes to show color does play a factor in price/value.

I say premium because it was a high mileage car at the time. There were a few others that had looked at it previous to me and didn't want it for the reason that they felt it was overpriced. Otherwise, I completely agree with you 100%.

CO and MC for sure. SB at times.
I paid top dollar for my black coupe (34k) but it was V8DER's former ride. No regrets here. Cool, fast affordable cars with some but not terrible depreciation.

MC was/is the only color I really wanted on this car. I went out and bought this car mostly because it's MC. I don't think it makes the car superior or anything like that whatsoever, it's just what I wanted.

When I was searching, it seemed like MCs were all priced a good deal higher than any other color.

Good stuff. Plus it was the only time color-changing leather was ever used on an interior. It will be an iconic piece of Ford/SVT history for a long, long time.

Not to mention it's not always easy to find one for sale. When I bought mine it was the only coupe for sale. And I looked a lot. Even my friends were looking for me. I know I paid more for my car then what I would've paid for black, DSG, etc. But I wanted MC. The previous owner is still trying to buy it back.

My old Mystichrome Vert. I sold it about 3 weeks ago for $27,225 after trying for months to sell it for $29-$32K and $27K was the highest I got. I got tired of having a car sit in my garage and paying $400 a month for it so I sold it and paid off all my credit cards.

I am honestly shocked to see them asking $39K for it. I'm wondering if it'll sell for all that.

I see it sold at auction, how can i find out how much it went for at auction?

I understand everyone's situation is different, but if I had your Mystichrome Convertible, I would've kept it regardless of $400 month! Prices have been appreciating and being Mystichrome surely commands a Premium in price. You bought it from the Original Owner and it was in pristine showroom condition. Hate to see that it was sold to someone who then flipped it at the Mannheim Auction and now the Dealership is also selling it again. Hope she goes to a good home but with $39,997 + taxes + DMV Fees, it'll be around $43-44k out the door!

I tried but it was better financially for me to sell it and put the money into my home and retirement. I really regretted letting if go but I was thinking about my future and throwing as much into my retirement account now versus keeping a car I never drove. I got rid of my E60 BMW 550i because that was draining my wallet. I'm trying to get lean and mean for my wife and I's 50's.

I'll miss it but I want to retire from the Government as soon as possible. LOL
