New Parts install, suspected belt slippage

THE ISSUE:
I have only Ladies and Gents,

I recently added some parts and tune to my 2012 GT500 listed below

Metco 2.6 Supercharger Pulley
Metco AUX idler pulley
Ford Racing twin 65mm Cobra jet Throttle Body
JLT CAI
NTK heat range 6 spark plugs
JBA cat delete H-pipe
FM outlaw alex back
BAMA custom tune (set up for for-mentioned parts)

Other than the parts/ upgrades above the car is equipped with all factory parts
driven the car approx 20 miles since my install 24 hours ago but I have detected what I believe is signs of belt slippage as there is trace amounts of belt "dust" near the AUX idler pulley and snout of the M122 supercharger as well as a faint burnt smell. Upon inspection everything seems to be operating nominally but I cant shake the feeling the belt is rubbing or slipping creating these symptoms. Now at this point I have not pushed the car over 4000 RPM nor WOT as I was advised to drive the car normally for 50 miles to allow my car to "learn" the new tune. (This advice came from Bama tunes) The new pulley on the supercharger seems to be properly set as the hub is flush with the end of the supercharger "shaft" and the idler appears to be in good working order as well. My friend and I checked and re-checked placement and engagement of the belt on all pulleys in the engine bay and nothing seems to be out of order. Lastly I have yet to experience the loud "chirping" commonly associated with belt slippage, nor any loss power when the supercharger is creating boost. However, I have yet to do any hard pulls on the car as the install just occurred. Lastly I have not had any check engine lights or anything of the sort and the car appears to idle properly, engine heat and oil pressure all seem to be nominal.

POSSIBLE FIX?
My first instinct is to simply replace the stock belt with a more stout heavy duty one from GATES and see if that fixes the issue. Or buying a better AUX idler pulley (which I dont want to do unless it is completely necessary). The issue (assumption) being that the stock belt is simply not holding on.

INSIGHT
I have read multiple similar threads on this sight in regards to this matter which helped me formulate my possible fix. However I want to "back check" myself with this talented community to make sure I am on the right track. Any advice some of you gurus out there have would be greatly appreciated, I look forward to hearing from you.

Yeah, you are the second person I have spoke to in a 24 hour period to tell me that. I will begin looking into some other options. I have an SCT tuner, any advice?

Lund Racing and JDM Engineering are two of the other highly regarded tuners for GT500s.

As for your belt slip, the factory GT500 supercharger pulley is know to be a weak unit when pushed. I had the same issues as you, black dust all over my super charger. I also have a BPS aux idler bracket running a VMP 2.5" upper.

This past summer I upgraded to the VMP billet tensioner and Ive noticed a dramatic reduction in dust. Its stronger than stock and the housing is very robust. Some recommend Thump tensioners, and while they are a great tensioner, a few failed units in the past year popped up on these boards.

OP, do you know if the stock belt has ever been replaced? It's probably past due. Also, get a better tensioner. When my stock belt wore out, I replaced it with a Gate's Racing blue belt and added an aux idler and Thump tensioner. Belt dust has so far been a thing of the past. Not to mention my car pulls WAY harder on the top end now that the belt doesn't slip anymore.

Yeah I'm defiantly going to get a gates belt. As far as the thumper I'm going to see what kind of results I get from the belt swap and make that determination. But I think that' defiantly on the right track here, thanks for the advice.

you are definitely heading in the right direction. My stock belt slips some when its warm, I never had an issue with the gates until it started squealing. It didn't slip just squealed
