Motor out....

Now just debating if I want to do a K member or not.

My car is 110% a street car that I do occasionally drive fast in the mountains. So I need something beefy

Slightly less than thrilled with how my RXT looks after 12-15k miles of Whipple street driving.

Not that it's in terrible shape, but definitely not great to me either.

One side of the twin discs has some sort of lip on it that shows how much material has been worn away. I can't imagine it's supposed to not be dead nuts centered..

I might have McLeod refreshen mine up before I put it back

Mine was destroyed and done in 8k miles. Seems to be common on these. The drive incredible and hold power well but don't seem to last.

I’ll have to look at mine. That sucker looks like it got hot.

Were you slipping at all?

Never exhibited any slippage signs to me. Never got smelly

I did shift 2 to 5 under WOT once. But that's it for big slip situations

I highly recommend a Kmember. Made life working on these cars a lot easier and handles way better. Only down fall is some of our streets have not been paved probably since the 70s or 80s and they will rattle your teeth with race suspension. Great build by the way.

+1 there is no reason not too now that you have the engine out. The amount of space they open up under the car to work on them is amazing. I had a UPR on my 96 but I wouldn't recommend it, at 600 bucks you pay for what you get with those. Get a MMR or other high quality piece.

Clutch is done from McLeod.

I decided on doing a K-member from Steeda. I contacted their customer service department and they gave me great service and a little bit of a discount. I also got four bolt CC plates. My mechanic told me in the past that I really should add them.

I'm excited for the K-member, and while not as light as some of the others, I feel it will hold up great for street use.

the steeda k-member is definitely a nice piece, cant go wrong with it. and yes 4 bolt cc plates are a must, especially if you run coil overs

I agree with the steeda k member. Wish I had the fund's at the time of my header install.

I'm going to run my stock A-arms and my stock style eibach springs

By the looks of it, the Steeda has 2 mounting spots for the A-arms that will help with brake dive on lower cars

I’m digging my 1200. Little heavier pedal but not bad.

Heavy compared to stock? Or to the RXT

They stated only 10% heavier than RXT

I’ve never felt a stock clutch. Car came with the RXT.

I think some of it is leverage as I shortened the pivot ball @7.5mm.

Initially I wished I had gone the 4.5-5 that most suggested but a few said they had to go 8mm. More I drive it the more I like it.

It’s not like the pos king cobra we put in the old fox 5.0 or anything. My RXT was almost as light as my 2002 focus.

Where is your engagement point?

Mine is the very top of the pedal

I'd have to ask my mechanic how much he shortened it. I'd like to lower the engagement point a touch
