Just doing a little market research. What do you guys consider an expensive knife, and what is the most expensive knife you would buy?

Anything over a 100$ is expensive to me, but if its good then its worth it. Most i would spend is probably 300$

I have a friend who runs the knife shop at Ed's Gun Shop in Vass, NC. You can spend as much or as little as you want.

Blades like Kershaw are so sharp and cheap that at $25 I consider them consumables and just order more when they get dull. And the two I have haven't yet.

I would agree. I appreciate a well made knife but my most expensive is a Ken Richardson Bowie
I think I spent around $120 for it.
My EDC’s are mostly Kershaw’s in the $20/30range

$150 to $300 gets me as much knife as I need. I am a big fan of ZT and you can get anything in their lineup at that price.

Anything over $250 is expensive to me for a knife. My carry folders are all Benchmade. They are solid as rocks and last forever.

Of course, there are a lot of good folders on the market.

I actually have a knife collection worth a wee bit more than the gun collection... most of what's pictured are NOT users, rather they are collection pieces.

I shoot all my guns, but only use a few of my knifes...

As to your question, expensive to me to use is $200 and up, expensive to me to collect is $2000 and up

Most of the collection:
