Out of the handful that has raced one has already ran a 9.9@136 in 1500 da. That’s literally only .3 and 4 mph off of dodges claims. In far far worse da. Dodge ran a legit number. No smoke and mirrors. They never once made it seem like it would run that number in the middle of the summer or at high elevation. What they did do is provide the actual timeslip. Which tells you everything you need to know to figure out what to expect and what conditions will be needed to achieve the claimed numbers. I guess some of these hardcore drag racers still cant put two and two together.

If it were 500lbs lighter I would consider this car...So stupid...SMH! I would love to own this mofo!

Car run 9.94 2 months ago and owner of the car posted that it had M/T ET Street R's in the rear because factory Nt05r didn't work so well ,so yea you're right there is zero evidence LOL . the owner of the car must be a liar

The Demon in this thread ran 10.70/129 not .50.
Same difference being long off from a 9 second run. Add in my altitude and average driver (hellcat owners average 12.3-13.3 here) lot of owners are going to be taking ego hits here. Last year Dodge ran a best of 10.89 up here at Mopar Nationals.

‘Yeah but omg the price tag, i could just put a supercharger and E85 on my mustang and run 10s, blah blah’

Yaaaaaaaaaaawn
Pft, 200 shot on a Prius will smash it.

Lets revisit this thread mid summer.
They will all be delivered, and the ones that are track bound will let the numbers do the talking.
As of today, only 2134 of the 3300 have been built, with 1075 being delivered. I don't know about you guys, but we just got 20" of snow. Hope to see the track some time in April.
Im shocked how many people are talking so negative about the Demon. I thought we were on a "performance car forum"
Didn't realize the blue oval lust was so strong.

In all fairness, this is SVT Performance, so the bias is to be expected. All a thread like this really does here is separate the true car people from the Ford loyal who don't think another decent car outside the blue oval exists. So let the blind have their say and let them move on, while the rest of us appreciate a car with easy 10.0 potential and a warranty.

Would someone that owns one of these monsters please put me in the driver's seat.

If I can't come close to the advertised number, I know a few pros that likely can. However, they do run along side of Leah Pritchett.

That is the saying about a lot of cars but never pans out. No GT500 has ever held close to original value when the next best thing comes out, and especially if it is a track car. As far as warranty, if you drop the motor in a GT add $15k for a stronger option and then you can go 9's still being way lower in price.

I am anxious to see what the new 10spd Auto GT does with a factory roush blower with warranty.

Again, it is a great car but man did Dodge do a great job of building hype value for the Demon with that price tag.

You and I know how well the 2012-2013 Boss 302’s have held their value, especially when compared to “regular” GT’s from the same year. There’s always going to be a less expensive way to go faster, but it’s hard to beat the Demon when looking at the total package.

Didn't realize the blue oval lust was so strong.

Last year:
"Omg Dodge is killing it with the commercials for the Demon. So stoked to see what it'll run"

This year:
"Omg dodge demon is overrated cause an average joe with money can't run 9.65 his first time out at the track".

One will have a warranty. And hold it’s value. And be semi-exclusive.

What Dodge vehicle has ever held its value? Vipers don't even hold value well. Why do you think so many people around here have one? The Demon will be no different. The nut swingers and gotta-have-its will buy them and unload them within the first 2 years of ownership or until something faster comes along, whichever occurs first. Then the cheap asses and broke asses will low ball them on the used market. It almost never fails with niche vehicles.

Certain features cannot be used until the 500 mile mark is reach. Transbrake being one of them. My guess is he hasn't reached the 500 mile mark. The best times run so far have been with footbrake.
^^this. So much hate....lol

Cant use transbrake or launch control until you have 500 miles.

People should be thrilled that this guy took his uber expensive, super rare Challenger to the track with less than 500 miles to see what it could do. Everyone expects that everytime a demon goes down the track that it should set a record on each pass...jeez.

Then it gets compared to a Mustang with more work done to it than most 9 second Hellcats. LOL.

Super rare for a challenger. Same if it were a mustang or camaro. Considering there’s hundreds of thousands of them on the road.

I don't know why everyone continues to call Dodge an "American" car company. They have been owned and operated by Fiat (Italian) since 2014.

3300 of any single model is rare no matter how you look at it...
You simply wont see them at every stop light no matter where you are.
