You simply cant find a Raptor at MSRP in Southern California. THose who don’t live here just don’t get it.
ALSO, most out of state dealers won’t sell to a CA customer. They think we’re going to turn around and flip it for profit inside of CA.
I understand completely. My truck gets built the week of 4/9. Do you want my salesman's info? PM me.

Man, to hell with SoCal dealers. I went to Texas and bought mine and drove it back. That being said, I wouldn't give up! Keep searching for an MSRP deal. Just spam dealers around the country and see if any will sell it to you and drop ship it like others have said.

Down where? My 2018 order was $0 deposit and MSRP.

Down around Galveston county. You also had one to begin with and was not a first time Raptor buyer. I was told point blank repeat buyers got msrp by a salesman

The dealer I bought from was asking 10k over for any 2018 on the lot. I went for a test drive and told them I'd pay MSRP otherwise don't waste my time. They came back with 3k over. I got up, said thanks but no thanks. Then it was "wait wait wait hold on we can figure it out." I drove the truck home that night for MSRP. Call around to anywhere you're willing to drive or ship from. Anything beats paying 5k over for a stripped Raptor.

Unless you won't miss the 5k. If that's the case just go get it and enjoy.

WAY money ahead.

I've sold several cars to forum members and had them drop-shipped from the manufacturer. The manufacturer does not charge any extra, the dealership who receives it usually charges a $150-500 courtesy delivery charge.
This is what I plan on doing with you in a few weeks. lol

I bought my 2012 Raptor used w/16k miles. My 2018 came from a different dealership, but we did buy my wifes Explorer there. Small town, small dealer.

It was MCcree ford which is a big dealer in League City which is a big dealer. The salesman could have been full of it. I have no idea to be honest, i had just asked about a supercab one they had and that was the line he shot me

Dealers are ridiculous anymore. It's like our local Ford (who I won't name) has had a couple Shelby's for over a year while asking crazy ADM.

I'm sorry, but I thought you were in business to sell cars. Not have to own them, let them age two years, and sell them for hardly anything.

Everyone here sell/trade their cars in for tbe max amounts they can get. The dealer sell for max amount they can get. If you dont like the price then there isn’t a gun to your head saying you have to buy there. Move along and quit crying about adm. either pay it or dont

Screw that. lol. I like going to Huntington Beach where they try to rape you with no lube on new Raptors (think $30k markup). I happily spend my time there wasting theirs acting like I'm going to buy one and then walk away when they won't come down to MSRP. I consider it a fun spent Saturday.

OP, the trucks are definitely worth it, man. But look around more for an MSRP deal. You'll find one. Then you can maybe get the 801A package for what would essentially be "free" to you!
