Surrounded by libetards.
Cash's version of hurt is better than the original.

Used to listen to All That Remains a lot. Not so much anymore.
Felt like they should of added a heavier part in that song to add their own touch. Just same tone over and over.

Off the top of my head, covers that were done well, and not mentioned:

Johnny Cash, Hurt
Orgy, Blue Monday
Seether, Careless whisper
Nirvana, Lake of Fire(Live)
Manson, Personal Jesus
Killswitch Engage, Holy Diver

Bad Wolves Zombie has grown on me. Too bad I've been catching it every time on Octane when I drive. Gets old quick hearing 4 times in a day.

That live AIC cover of Sweetleaf sounds nothing like Layne.
Edit: and Aaron Lewis is a whiney bitch.

Damn, I have the 12" EP for Attack of the Killer B's, but that track isn't on it.
They're 2 different albums. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is on the 'I'm The Man' cd.
The song "MILK" off of 'Attack Of The Killer Bees' is another crunching guitar song. That's actually a cover of a S.O.D. song off S.O.D.'s debut album. Scott Ian of Anthrax was one of the founding members of that band.

Lately I've noticed a lot of these new rock groups destroying classic songs. Latest two terrible examples that make me want to ice pick my ear drums.

and...

How to do it correctly...

In Flames is my all time favorite band, before that cover I thought they could do no wrong. I’d urge you to go listen to some of their other stuff though. Spectacular stuff if you’re a fan of melodic metal.

Had to resurrect this thread. I've been a drummer for quite some time and therefore I'm a huge Zeppelin and Tool fan (which I'm sure I've mentioned on this site, and more than likely in this exact thread before). I just recently found out that Tool covered Zep's No Quarter (don't ask why it took me so long to find it, I have no answer for you). Holy mother of god. The whole song is epic, and that double time feel at the end, JESUSSSSSSSS. Only Danny Carey could make a John Bonham groove better.

Must be played on bassy sound system (or good headphones) on full volume.

You should be banned
I should be band. ;D
Fixed that for you.

I forgot that it's sacrilegious to cover a band whose catalog is like a third full of covers, sorry.

...and Maximus said to Commodus, "the time for honoring yourself will soon come to an end."

Not in your choice in music...for reviving a dead thread

and the fact that @96 cobra already posted that song (same damn video too) in here. It's been a long day, woke up at 0350 without an alarm for no reason. Lo siento.

Hopefully this song hasn't already been covered in here (damnit, sorry for the pun).
Not bad for kids. Oddly the little girl's voice fit the song pretty well. Drummer took a few short cuts (don't blame him), but the bassist nailed it.

First time I heard this cover I was on a long road trip and couldn't stop laughing but it's actually pretty awesome

I've got dozens more that I'll come back and add some of my favs after I get a forecast in. Ska bands did A LOT of pretty cool covers

**edit**
meh, never mind, I already turned this in to a zombie thread, no need to continue
