up here, 3:55's are std with the auto & perf pack, 3:73 are optional.........unless you want every last hundredth of second, you can save gear money and labour avoiding the 4:10's.

Very impressed! That thing launches hard and shifts hard as well.

Why do comparisons with a $100k + Demon immediately appear? Even if the mods to this 18 were $7k this car is almost half the price.

Don't forget labor cost...
It's Steeda's shop car. And that car doesn't have $7K in Mods.
Beefing up the IRS bracing is a No Brainer running these times, not a performance gain. Rims are for running a specific tire. The Longblock is stock and the car has a 10 second slip. It needs a converter to shave .2+ off the 60.

I'm talking about the consumer. Not everyone owns a shop.

That trap speed is impressive (so is the ET)! Even more impressive if that is done on the stock longblock.

Does e85 make that much of a difference on a direct injection car?

I decided to check.

Paying full retail without discounts which you would likely get as a package

Suspension $1343
Exhaust $1550-$1750 depending on what they ran, cheaper for catless
Race Stars $1000-$1500
E85 tune $780
4.10s $180
Intake $440
Tires $1200?

$6500 on the low end of those parts and less than $7300 on the high end.

I think you could certainly do it much cheaper too. You could save $1000 on the headers alone and I don't think the 4.10s are really worth it. Lund put his E85 tune and tire only car at an 11.3 with stock rear gears.

I'd be interested in what a long tube and e85 car would do.
If you selective shop $900 for tires, $395 for CAI, suspension $1100 (this is to strengthen an IRS and save axles if you still wanna call it Mod) $1450 exhaust, 4.10's $150, rims $1100,
E-85 tune at your $780 is steep. So about $5500. And I agree the CAI, gears and headers netted it what .2-.3?

E85 is stupid easy cheap power so yes. ;) I could run an E85 mix in my MS6 & just do a $250 re-tune & easily add 30-40 WHP. A lot more going full E85.

That's just what I had pulled from some of their links.

I also went with Lund's E85 tune so it includes the N gauge, I don't know what steedas pricing is.

Just going with a set of BBK long tubes and a $120 x pipe and you are in the $700 range for exhaust. Wheels and tires could obviously be found much cheaper as I was just looking at list price.

Awesome that the 18 cars only require a tune for e85.

2018 Mustang GT appears to be a tuners dream so far.

The engine package is impressive for sure, but one thing alot of people are not talking about is the transmission. The 10 speed is one of the main components really making these times possible. I have hated automatics all my life but man if I was to buy a new mustang it would have to be with a 10 speed auto.

Kind of glad I'm on the sidelines without a Mustang right now. I'm still undecided on a Fox or New Edge build but the next drivetrain is already planned out.

2018+ 5.0 + 10 speed auto.

In a few years these will be showing up used from wrecked mustangs and f150s. That powertrain in a 3200lb Fox platform car?? Mercy...

For sure. The 15-17 can run e85 on stock injectors if you keep the stock manifold due to them having a higher pulse rate even though they are the same size as the 11-14.

I drove an 18 auto yesterday and although I like the car I would still prefer the 15-17 for the price.

Interesting... I haven’t driven an 18 yet but plan to soon.

You can still get left over new 17’s at deep discounts too....
