I wonder if the hub will fit the TVS 2300 or if the hub system is Gen 3 only.

Probably going to have to settle for a Trinity TVS for now, but the Gen 3 will be mine one day.

1000whp on stock coyote engine - bolt ons and race gas -- check vmp facebook page
I've been waiting to see the results and was expecting big power from this combination.
Dyno power is one thing, but 1000rwhp if raced will need a built engine.
For car shows/dyno events/occasional roll racing it will hold, but racing (drag and standing mile) will compromise that block. I hope the '15+ are stronger, and I know the rotating assembly is, but the block is the question. My buddies '12 block with built pistons/rods still cracked at 900rwhp drag use.

I don't have much time to get on here these days but I figured I could drop a couple quick details...

The VMP Gen3 will use the same stainless 6-bolt hub as previous VMP blowers.

We have 3.3" and 3.0" 10-rib uppers at the anodizer. 2.8, 2.6, 2.5, and 2.4 are already on the shelf. The VMP Gen3 does NOT need a lot of RPM to make airflow and boost, the rotors are very efficient at moving air at all speeds. If the car has a decent sized lower, expect to be on the high 2s-3.0 on pulley size whereas you were running a 2.4 or 2.5 on the 2.3l. With the blower spinning slower, it's closer to peak adiabatic efficiency, which is what helps the car make very good RWHP.

Thanks for the input Justin.
I think all of us that run your TVS blowers have been excited to see the next level.
Great points about efficiency as once you pass a certain point it’s more heat than power. Can have a much better balance with the Gen 3.
Looking forward testing it soon!

I find it funny that VMP is using a 200 shot of nitrous to get these big numbers in their marketing material for the Gen3. We already know what nitrous can do, show us what the blower can do.

Yeah, they kept claiming huge jumps in power. I am guessing the 92 it picked up over the gen2r and whipple throttle body to their 173 and gen 3 wasnt enough of a headline so they added a 200 shot. The article that was written was flat out wrong, it said they picked up 213 from swapping the gen2r to a gen 3 but the 213 was just from the shot. I see they went back and changed the story that was released on the ford NXT site to make that more clear so thats good.

Yeah, I'm thinking the gains from a Gen2R to a Gen3 swap aren't going to be quite as impressive as many were hoping they would be. Definitely not worth it for guys on a stock lower end who already are running a 2R or even a ported Trinity.

The 2650 is making 80+ more to the wheels than the current 2.3 R pulley for pulley. Not sure what people expected. It is punching a little above it's weight class for a 2.65 liter blower.

Yeah, but the G3 is probably making 3 to 4 more psi over a 2.3 with the same pulley size. I'd like to see the difference with both blowers geared for 18 psi. The G3 will be turning slower, and that will free up some ponies, but how many is what I'd like to know. The bigger throttle bodies are likely to add to the mix too.

Well yea that happens when it shoves more air with the same pulley. It may make a few more at peak but mid range will suffer do to not spinning the blower as hard. Same argument that the 2.3 guys had with the big twin screws for years. Pulley for pulley the 2.65 outperforms the 2.3 by a wide margin as it should

I'm expecting bolting on 100rwhp on my car if I go VMP Gen3 2650 over the Whipple I'm contemplating.
My car was about 50rwhp stronger than this one on blower only, and yes I also have that NX spray bar in the lower!
I think we all agree we wanted to see the test without NOS clouding the picture, and I'd like to do that test.
I could car less on pure dyno numbers, I want to see how it pics me up at track.
10.009 to ????
965rwhp SAE Dynojet to ???
Regardless, badass to see it on a GT500 and very impressive!
