Hey guys, so I’ve had my 11 convertible for a little while now and when I pull her back out from the spring I have a couple things I want to do.

My drivers seat seems to be worn a little prematurely, the bolstering has flattened out a bit and the seat skin itself is worn enough that I’d like to just replace it.

I honestly think this could be due to the previous owner pushing on the sides of the seat to pull themselves out of the car and what not.

Have any of you encountered a scenario like this? And if you did how did you go about getting things fixed?

I've notice that type of wear in all cloth seats even in my F150. I think it's the cloth that causes the foam to wear. I just bought some 2012 Coyote seats for my 2002 GT and I'm going to replace the cloth panels just on the bolsters with leather/vinyl to help make those areas slippery. The remaining parts of the seats will remain the factory cloth. I've seen that new factory foam can be bought for $130.

I had the same issue. Car was still under warranty, and the dealership put a new seat cover on. The issue was premature wearing of the left driver's side front seat bolster. I'd buy a new seat cover, and get a dealer to install it.

My lower seat cover has a tear on the side developing. I eventually want to either find and replace with, or have an upholstery shop redo my seats with red stripes.

I've got the same thing going on. Tear on the left side of the lower seat cover. I've been looking for a set of red stripe Recaros, but haven't seen a set up for sale in a couple years.

so I got some good news! I got pricing for a skin and the base plus back seat foam for me to redo my drivers seat, and parts for my were only about 800-900 to redo everything factory, then labor of course, does that sound too expensive or reasonable?
