I just purchased a 8 1/2'x 24' (Not V-nose) for my mustang. It's Brand spanking new. Has 4 tie down points, lights by front and back door, and roof vent.

My 93 Cobra is about 15' long.
I'd like to secure my aluminum Craftsman floor jack on the floor.
Secure my transportable Craftsman (2' tall) tool box on the floor.
I'd like to throw a few more things in the front, like lite aluminum shelves or tough boxes.

What are some clean, easy parts that I can pick up from Lowes that will last and be purposeful for years to come?

Post your photos!

What are some "must mods" inside also?

Did you get a spare with the trailer? I spent a little extra and got one for my20' v. It was the first thing I mounted to the wall of the trailer and worked around it. The simplest way I found to secure stuff was 2x2 cleats screwed to the floor and bungee cords.

Yes, came with a spare, not mounted. So that’s one thing I have to do. Would prefer to find a spot after I’ve built things up front.

2x2 cleat screws sounds good with bungees. Quick and easy.

I’m not looking to build an empire in it, just cool DIY things guys did out there.

I'm away can't send picks, but things don't really move around to much in my trailer. The weight of the tool boxes and jack I carry is enough to hold them with a bungee

Get some tire covers for when it is sitting so the tires will not be exposed to the suns UV rays, and that includes the spare if it's mounted outside. You can thank me later, I found out the hard way to the tune of $1800 in less than 2 years.

One more thing, get a winch, work smarter not harder.

Cool, thanks a lot guys. I was thinking Harbor Freight Winch. Seemed Ike the bang for the buck.

I’ll look for the tire covers too.

Got some Herculiner for truck beds and did my floor. Nice and grippy, and liquids won't soak into the wood.

Dont they make them with the tie down straps as part of the cover?
Whoops, thought you were talking about covers for the car's wheels, not the trailer.

Get some E track and run across the front wall about 1.5'-2.0 high. You can line your items across the front wall and then put a strap or bungees across them attached to the E track and they will stay in place. You can also use it to hold in place other items. Like

fold out chairs
pop up canopy
fuel jug
Roll out cart

I would recommend mounting a fire extinguisher in there. You probably will never need it but I had to grab mine once when a new GT350 wiring harness started smoking after it was brought into the paddock from hitting a tire wall.

Genius!!! I will do this first and also with a fire extinguisher. I hope the next car in it is my future ‘19 GT500...

What one did you end up going with? You moved quick on this one lol. Congrats.

Looks like everyone above pointed you in the right direction. In a previous trailer I had we had a roll away tool box with tools that stayed in the trailer.

We covered the wall and ceiling in this stuff here. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sequentia-...:Sequentia&CAWELAID=&kpid=4768241&CAGPSPN=pla{ifdyn:dyn}&k_clickID=68bf630c-a9d6-45e7-b4d6-af5c98ef2138&msclkid=af42e7ce0b0a1d730174bdb67d01b559

The Harbor Freight 5000# winch with a remote is the one I have. Also get a 1ft. section of 4x4 wood to put in front of one of the tires every 15 to 18" as you're winching the vehicle in or behind it if you're winching it out in case the cable lets go, I'm speaking from experience, and also my right big toe, not to mention the hospital bill and nearly being killed.

I haven’t made any moves yet. I’m taking in all your guy’s notes and ideas. I’d like to do all my shopping at Harbor Freight and Lowe’s for this project.
Great mods everyone, keep them coming.

I winch might not be right now. My 93 runs. But I know at some point, I’ll need it for a roller

E-track is an amazing thing, I lined my trailer with it on the floors and walls.

Also, look at some Pit Posse products. Some are insanely expensive, but there are a lot of handy sub $50 items on eBay of theirs. Paper towel holders, fluid racks, etc.

Anyone spray Black Flex Seal on their wood floor to seal it and extend the life of the wood floor?

You’ll want a winch if your Cobra breaks at the track or decides it just doesn’t want to start.

i haven't seen a trailer that will let you open the door to get out unless your a toothpick, (haven't been in a new trailer in years) the winch will also save you from having to climb out the window taking the chance of scratching the car.
---- Sorry ssj4sadie i know you were making a point didn't mean to hijack just adding to!

No worries, you’re on point. I was thinking the same. Just didn’t want to type it all out.
