Can run the same amount of boost with a larger pulley (someone said it I didnt quote)

I would think than that would shift the tq curve to the mid/higher RPMs and that 2.3 was lots of fun in the low RPM range. But I maybe science ****ing it.
I was wondering this as well. Generally that's the perks with the smaller blowers. Lots of low/mid range torque. Even some have reported the 2.9 on 17lbs seems a tad lazy.

even my 2.4 kenne bell at 17lbs was lazy. My ported eaton 2.80 upper 4lb lower was neck snapping compared to my 2.4.

what I can tell you is, my 2.9 whipple at 22-23lbs is more violent than my 2.3 whipple at 22-23lbs. On stock motors blowers up to 2.6 Ill run them on pump gas at 19lbs. Bigger than that, I will never run them less than 20lbs. Just my rule. Not set in stone.

They said that there is no bottom end loss with the 2.650 in their video. I guess we will see.

For all those wanting the base technical specs of the TVS R2650 here’s direct from Eaton for the blowers.

yes that is correct the 2650’s will use less power than the current 2300. The blower itself will be a better choice over the 2300.

I’ll be sticking to the 2.3 but this is another great option for those looking to upgrade from stock/want more power. As someone already said, it’s sweet to see companies are still bringing out new products for these cars!

And make it easily removable like it currently is. That’s a major selling point to me that Whipple doesn’t have. Imo Whipple dropped the ball on the gen 3. I was was hoping to see a removable inlet. I had a 3.4 crusher it’s sucked to worked around but definitely had that wow factor

That would be pretty cool like how whipple does it with the crusher setups.

The video said the only thing different is the blower. The throttle body adapter is the same (still bolt on) as well as the throttle body and intake options. The only thing changing is the blower itself.

A TVS is not a roots.

You always have great tech on here but, yea it is...

According to EATONs own product release:

"Eaton’s Twin Vortices Series (TVS) is a roots-type supercharger for a variety of engine applications that delivers more power and better fuel economy in a smaller package, for uncompromising, high-performance driving."

Video said it's the same as the Gen 2......adapter still bolts on.

Yeah I messed up typing I was dealing with a 1 year old. I was talking about if vmp released a crusher type intake to make that removable. Like Whipple should of done with their gen 3

Wow, I guess I stand corrected. I swear I read years ago that the twin vortices was a hybrid between a roots and a screw compressor like KB/Whipple.

In the video Justin mentions the new 2650 will accept the current inlet and throttle body options on the Cobra platform. This would be a concern for me considering they have massive throttle body options for coyote and gt500. We learned on the gen 2 coyote and gt500 TVS kits that the TVS loves a huge inlet. I think this blower is going to be restricted on the cobras but will still make more power than the 2.3.

A TVS and twinscrew compress air entirely different. Despite being bigger the 2.6 will still make killer low end power whether spun easy or hard... Just the nature of the TVS. The quad digit power claims we're for the gt500 and coyote guys. It's just a guessing game on what they will make on a Cobra but I'd guess around 900 or so fairly easy, now if someone can open up that inlet more then it will lay down some power!

VMP is stepping it up big time, they also mentioned there may be some intercooler mods in the near future, hopefully he includes the Cobras on that considering they have the smallest intercooler of all the current TVS platforms.

Not sure, to be honest I always thought they were twin screw until recently when I looking up efficiency maps and saw that info from Eaton. The extra twist of the rotors really makes it look like a twin screw.
Either way this new blower should be badass.

+1 on mentioned above hope they fixed iat2 location issues. The community wouldn't have known about that without Soap's great investigatory work.
