A lot of stuff to consider here in my opinion. If you aren’t spinning the hell out of your 2.3 and can hit the sweet spot on these cars (22 psi?), not sure if I’d want to spin it slower.

Well some tome back I posted all the advantages the new 2650 rotor pack had and it was actually more efficient that the 2300 rotors, required less horsepower to drive and the rotor lobes had more twists. Could explain why spinning it slower would be a good yield.

Its only fair to keep bringing new blowers for the cobras. Not saying this is the end all be all car but, this car made these positive displacement blowers popular.

I remember when jim bell and dustin whipple weree going back and fourth on which blower was better and were going to settle it at the track with muscle mustang and fast ford present. Owning a 2.2 kenne bell cobra was the next best thing since sliced bread. PLaying strictly performace kb dyno videos 50 times a day.

As tempting as it is, I think I'll keep my 2.3 for now. I'm in the sweet spot at 21lbs and e85. I need to install my dyad clutch and eventually upgrade all the irs bushings at some point.

Looks like this one has an EGR provision.
I am hoping there will be a carb eo to go along with it. I inquired about it last year, and a vmp rep said that it should be happening. Said only on the canned tune tho - but at least that's something.

I might be old but the 2.3 is a great street blower. If I went to the track a lot or did a lot of street racing I would upgrade.

I told Malcolmv8 I'd buy one from him when they come out.

Might as well order injectors at the same time...

I figured out a while back that id1000s are borderline for 20+ psi on e85 when I maxed mine out. I grabbed a set of id1300s from Malcolm and last I checked they were in the low 80% range on duty cycle. I should be good for a few more psi.

Damn my gen2 that has less 2k miles on it might have to be replaced with this, I’m at 720hp with my gen2 and Justin starkey said with the new 2650 it’s gonna be 10-20 percent more horsepower over the gen2 so that might be what gets me over to 800hp

I agree. For me to upgrade just because seems like a waste. Everyone wants the newest latest thing, but my street car gets some spirited driving and that's about it. Maybe one day.

Can run the same amount of boost with a larger pulley (someone said it I didnt quote)

I would think than that would shift the tq curve to the mid/higher RPMs and that 2.3 was lots of fun in the low RPM range. But I maybe science ****ing it.
