M122 swap, on 20 psi, twin DW300 pumps, -8 feed, on E85, with a 100 dry shot.

Looking to convert to a plate, and add another 100, wet.

Would you guys tap into the line before the rails to avoid the lean spike, and has anyone done anything like this before?

Looking for high 9's/140 trap in a 3800 lb car.

2 systems, twice as complicated. If you want to run a 200 shot, just run it wet and use a dedicated tank for it. That would be my advice.

Otherwise, you should be good pulling jetting for a 100 shot off the rail, no more. But it's just as easy y'ing it before the rails since you already changed the feed.

I'm going to convert it to wet...

I'll just run whatever timing E85 will allow, instead of a dedicated tank. No need for a dedicated race cell.

Has anyone grabbed fuel before the rails to avoid a lean spike?

I’m with @ITSTOCK , run a stand-alone. I run the nitrous outlet standalone kit with my 200 shot. Makes things alot safer IMO.
Also, don’t know if it’s a myth or real but some people have said that big wet shots through the blower causes puddling in the lower intake.

Do a couple searches over at modularfords, they have more nitrous info than svtp.

I've been reading for months.

What fuel are you running in the tank?
93 in the fuel tank, c116 in the standalone. Pulling timing accordingly, I should buy a wide band for safety but I read plugs and throw them away after each pass. Plugs are cheap.
What plugs are you running? I stepped down to a 7 heat range.

I ran a 100 shot tapping off the rails back in the Eaton days. The lean spike was so minimal right on the hit it was not worth worrying about.

Not sure about with a 200 shot. I since changed to tapping before rails when I switched fuel systems and blowers.

A plate system under the blower sounds like a nightmare especially with changing jets etc. I drilled and tapped the intake plenum behind the throttle body and sprayed through the blower.

You can see the wet shot just to the left of the IAC motor here

i run a spray bar setup in the lower manifold done by nitrous outlet... changing jets is a pia but you avoid the spray through the blower bit... they used to do the mod to your provided lower for about $500 with jets included...

Got any pics on how you mounted your solenoids?

Thanks for the great info.

How did you tap before the rails?

I removed the entire factory fuel system and installed a Fore Innovations fuel system. It's all -AN lines and fittings. At that point it's just like playing with Legos and you can design and lay it out how ever you want.

Or how to you split before the rails.
Why don’t you just buy a -8 Y block, split it in the fender(guessing that’s where the feed line is ran) reduce it down to a -6 and run that to the fuel solenoid in the motor bay. Seems like a simple solution.
FWIW: I’ve put standalones on cars with e85, they would run vp e-85 in the cell. It ensures no fuel pressure drop because they are return style cells and you can adjust fuel pressure if necessary.

That's what I was thinking.
