Not a major update but I added a 55" 4k TV above my 27's. The extra real estate is awesome. Still not done yet, I want to add some LED'S. The monitor on the left reset to a warm color temp somehow, I fixed it after I took the pictures.

Need some help. I've had the Astro A40 tr's for about 6 months now and have had nothing but issues with them. At one point I couldn't get the audio clear with just the USB plugged in to my PC. I fixed that with using the optical cable connected to my mobo and USB, now the audio is clear and no issues. But now I when I'm in a discord chat while playing a game (within mins), the mic just cuts off. I have to reset the audio settings in discord and or turn on/off the mixamp. Mind you I don't have a sound card and wonder if that's part of the problem?
If anyone can help that'll be great. If nothing works I might just look for a new headset.

Or buying a separate mic like the audio Technica AT2020 USB.

I’ve got a set of A40s as well as A50s, and I have the same issues. Have you contacted Astro directly?

Dam no way! I have. And all they have done is send me a "different" USB cable and now they're sending me a "different" optical cable. And they've told me twice on how it should be set up in the playback settings. But it continues to happen.

Yeah I had issue after issue with them....so I switched to turtle beach and haven’t had a single issue....literally plug and play. So now I have some $800 worth of Astros that are paperweights. Hahahaha

Lmao! I feel you. I used my A50s when I first got my PC running and everything was smooth. Every since I connected the A40s, nothing but issues.
Which turtle beaches do you have, if you don't mind me asking.

I actually dumbed it down a few levels - Turtle Beach Stealth 350 is what I’m using now. Literally plug and play

Astros are notorious for having issues, especially on PC. I switched over, bought a Audiotechnica AT2020+ (usb model) and bought a FiiO E10K DAC and use Sennheiser HD598SE's. Never have had an issue, sound is crystal clear & quality is amazing.

I was thinking of getting that AT2020+ USB. But I mean, I just use it for gaming with friends. Would it be extreme for me to get the AT2020?

I use it for gaming with friends, its not extreme. Your Astros were what, $250-300? The mic is $149 on amazon. Whether you decide to revamp everything and get rid of those Astros is up to you, but to solve mic issues, No getting a stand-alone mic isn't extreme.

I might just go that route than man. I have some audio Technica mx50s I can use with a similar set up you have. Appreciate the info

I recieved my Steelseries Srctis 7 head set yesterday. So far so good. Ill need to do a lot more gaming to really see if I like it. I will say that the sound quality is very sup par compared to my old Sennheiser's but with it being 1/3 of the price and wireless, that's to be expected. I'm loving the built in micro phone and the fact that it's wireless. I will probably opt for a much more expensive higher tier wireless set in a year or two.

Edit* Dont take this is a negative post about the head set. It's very unfair for me to compare sound quality on my two set ups.

Not going to really use this too much for gaming, but thought I would share anyways. The monitor on the left is connected with a USB 3.0 to HDMI thingy that only supports 1080p so I am waiting for another one to arrive so I can view 1440p. I'm in a temporary space so I only have one of the 27" BenQ monitors setup right now.

I am in love with the ultra-wide monitor. Makes the 27" seem small, and I love being able to have two large windows open. All of the screens are 1440p IPS panels. They all have a low Blue light feature which is also really nice. My eyes are naturally pretty sensitive and I wear computer glasses at work so it is nice not having to wear them at home.

Eventually I will get a computer and pick up a racing sim, but don't have much time at the moment.

Also, can anyone recommend a mounting solution for my monitors? All the mounting kits I am finding are designed only to support three monitors of up to 27". I will probably need to get three separate desk stands huh?

Laptop: Asus GL771JM
Screens:
- LG 34UM95-P
- 2x BenQ GW2765HT
