Should we change this to 2020 GT500?

All indications is the GT500 is a Model Year 2019 car. Have you heard differently? I guess coming in 2019 could be interpreted as year or model year without further clarification.

Looks good to me. Why does it matter that it doesnt have DI? All the past gt500 have no problem making plenty of power with no DI. I am glad to see them sticking with the SC motor for the gt500.

Wonder if they will dress it up a bit more, I kinda miss the blue on valve covers and powered by ford bits...

Blower looks fairly tall, wonder if there will be room for a Kenne Bell with the stock hood?
Blower is upside down to save room and put a bigger intercooler on top, it will likely be a while before the aftermarket makes a replacement blower for these. The stocker is 2.6L. There will likely be substantial room to make a bunch more power with the stock blower with pullies and porting.

Lots of OEM cars are getting so tricked out from the factory that it's getting real close to not making enough extra power to justify the thousands for a new blower.

Car and Driver, Autoweek and several others are saying 2020.

I saw that. It can still be a MY19 car and hit dealers in early CY19. If it's a true MY20 car I'm surprised Ford showed anything. They don't want to tip their hand to Dodge or Chevy until the last minute possible.

My guess is that's what the 700+hp statement from them was about. 701-799 hp all qualify as possibilities

As for the blower, that throttle body looks damn small for a 700+hp car. Id have to think an updated twin oval design would be less of a restriction than a traditional single circular TB. I know the newer Whipple all in one blower kits feature a single round TB.

If you so wanted, any Coyote blower should work.

+1 on the tb being small. The transmission better come with a magic wand to get this biotch where in needs to be in the 1/4!

Any front mounted TB will be a restriction on a roots style blower. There will be huge gains possible with a larger TB and inlet to feed the TVS2650.
There's a reason VMP has a big 173mm oval TB for the 2650.
All depends on how much real estate is available.

Not a fan of the new blower especially with that little throttle body. I just hope they upgraded the rods on this one cuz I know I'll be turning up the wick on this one as well.
