You pretty much nailed it. wheels and seats are big ones. A lot of people skip the AC. If it's not a road course car you can do the BMR front end catalog (k member, radiator support, etc). Or a drag-oriented lightweight brake kit.
Depends how far you want to go with it. After the first few big items, it'll be a lot of 5lbs here, 5lbs there.

Be careful with your Lithium battery.. I bought an awesome one from Pegasus and it worked like a charm, 8lbs, perfect in every way even more reliable than the original.. until I let it run dead during the winter and sit in the cold..

$700 battery RIP.

back to the original. hell, its on the passenger side anyway!

They need a trickle charger just like a lead battery. $30 off amazon and it works like a charm on my 5lb anti gravity battery

Assuming by seats OP means removing the back seats and not replacing stock seats with racing seats? Or both?

Not in order, however, i would do wheels, seats.
Depending on how in depth you want to get.

I'm around 3200-3250 with out a cage.

1) Wheels
2) seats (remove all and install a Jegs knock off of a Kirkey for track use)
3) Drop mid pipe, over axles, axle back, replace with Dynomax race bullets and turn downs
4) BPS radiator support
5) Deka battery

Alternates...
6) Remove windshield washer fluid reservoir/lines
7) Evap lines, etc.

All of these are being added/removed from mine this winter.

1) Wheels, purchase a a set of rears and some skinnies for the front

2) Front Seats, if your car has powered seats you can prolly save around 75 pounds from swapping a nice set of seats in. If its a DD I highly recommend getting a reclineable seat, I ran the Corbeau RRX in my Cobra and they were the most comfortable seat I ever sat in.

3) K member, control arms, radiator support. You can prolly save close to 100 pounds if you do all of these at the same time.

4) Rear seat delete. Not sure on savings but id guess around 30-40 pounds.

5) Everything after this is going to cost you a lot of money, save a few pounds here and there, and start sacrificing driveability. It all comes down to how far you want to go. For a street car id personally stick to the first 2 items.

I am not sure how these cars ride with K members but after I did a K member and control arms on my Cobra the car rode like crap. I also added some coilovers at the same time but the car drove like crap and handled poor as well. This was one of the main reasons I ended up selling it and moving to a coyote car.

Turning your street car into a race car is cool at first but gets old fast if you drive it on the street.

If you want real weight reduction, expect to spend a lot of money. You will want to replace all of the body panels with carbon fiber, take everything not needed out of the car (including carpet and sound deadening material), remove the door panels and replace with carbon door cards, remove the rear seat, etc. Then start looking at a lighter k member, dump the AC and all emmissions equipment, and go with an aluminum or carbon drive shaft.

I can keep listing parts, but the price will grow to a point that is senseless for most people.
