My only concern is how much power can it honestly handle? I’m at 720wheel, which is why I was considering the DYAD. Would the list that you plaster be able to handle this amount of power?

That was my concern too. Especially since my stock clutch was giving up at probably around 685WHP. That said, I got the car w/ 17.5k miles on it. No telling how it was treated or driven before I got ahold of it.

So do you think that building the kit that you have will handle it or should I just pony up and go with the DYAD?

Some early ‘13s has clutch issues but my ‘14 was rock steady on DRs and 750rwhp. But again, gearing has an influence and the ‘07-12 cars should be fine. I had 4.10s in my ‘14 by 1000 miles.
My only hesitation for ‘13-14 guys, that if you insist on keeping the terrible 3.31 rear gears the clutch will always have more stress. Next to the tires, the gears were the worst choice on these cars.

If you plan on making a lot of power (say over 750rwhp) and racing a lot, aftermarket is the better choice BUT as above you’ll sacrifice NVH and street manners to some degree.

^^^ Agreed. I'm running 3.73s now so that'll be a little less brutal on the stock clutch should I decide to go back.

I don’t have plans of going higher honestly and still have stock gears. Just trying to decide what the best house would be. I don’t but any corners with this car but also want to save some money obviously. So y’all think I should do dyad or the 13/14 clutch kit?

This is just my opinion...but even if I didn't have the 3.73s, and considering other people's success with the stock parts, I'd go stock if I had it to do again. You'll come out 1/2 the price in parts. Nothing wrong w/ the DYAD but it doesn't sound like you're thrilled with the compromises you'll have to make...I'm the same way.

I wouldn’t mind having something that is stock feeling like the build kit, I don’t take it to the strip that often at all and don’t be beat on the car all that much honestly. I want something that will last. The DYAD is rated at 1300hp and I’m no where near that obviously.

Yea, the DYAD really is one of the best compromises I think. I have gotten used to the slight chatter/noise. As long as you expect it and can get used to the fact that those characteristics are normal, you'll be fine. I also went w/ the MGW Gen II at the same time...so that also increased the NVH ever so slightly.

Welp, a good friend of mine has a stock 13/14 clutch that has 4K miles on it that he’s giving me. So guess that’s the route I’m going. Should I look into getting an aluminum flywheel as well as the APR bolts for safe measure, and new slave cylinder?

I like alum flywheels, lower weight off of nose and less rotating mass. Just my opinion. Same with ARP bolts, heavy duty, can be used multiple times vs. Ford bolts. To me it's just added protection. Regarding slave, you are in there, why not do it now rather than having the old one fail. Again, not necessary, just preventive maintenance.

Yup, I totally agree. Will the mcLeod auminum flywheel for the stock 13-14 clutch? I believe I remember it being a yes.

I think you're making the right choice. Assuming you are doing the work yourself, it's only a day lost under the car if you're getting the clutch setup for free. Do the slave while you're in there. It's only a hundred bucks IIRC. That transmission is heavy...get a friend or 5. lol

Lol, I actually lucked out because the friend that has it is the one that helped me build my car. So he’s got his own shop and I’m going drop it off for about a week and a half while I’m out of town. I’m getting some things touched up in terms of some scratches and getting my carbon fiber diffuser put on along with some other goodies. So it all happened to work out. Going to put in an order for the bolts/flywheel/slave today and it should get there sometime this week.

Because I'm not tremendously pleased w/ the DYAD, I put together this parts list the other day so that I can go back to my stock '14 clutch at some point. Considering Ford may obsolete these parts in the not too distant future, it will be good to have them on hand anyway. I would assume they would this would be all you need to bolt up to an 12 and earlier car. But someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi
Im thinking if buying the 13-14 clutch.
In your spreadsheet, it says you paid $187.50. Where did you buy it at that price?
