Its rough and needs work, but will be nice when im finished. Current mods are Afr 185 renegade heads, built bottom end, Scorpion 1.7 rockers, E303 cam, maf conversion, egr and emissions delete, Bassani equal length headers, orx, and catback, msd distributor, coil, and 6al, Canton 9 qt oil pan, Ford racing deep transmission pan and diff support. It needs a ton of work cleaning up wiring and getting rid of the emissions crap thy didnt remove. They just unhooked it and left it. Last night we pulled the bed off and tonight we will remove the front clip. Everything is getting power washed and cleaned up. Plan is to have a friend paint it matte black or matte burnt orange after its put back together and the body work is done.

Those are such cool trucks. Sounds good and didn't blow any blue on the throttle punch. What's the deal on the front clip color?

Looks like they ran something over, plate that the swaybar mounts to is all beat up and the yellow chin is a cervini piece. We are removing the plate and swaybar so we arent worried about finding a replacement. Engine is strong, runs really good after adjusting the timing and tps. Over the next few weeks we will clean up all the unnecessary crap and add some mods to go with whats already there.

I love seeing and following projects like this. Be sure to take pics of before, during, and after.

Ive been watching various facebook groups, craigslist, and ebay. This one came up for sale on a local racers swap meet page and i jumped on it. I have the plate, took it off so it doesnt get damaged.

This weekend i pulled the engine and transmission. This is the project that keeps on giving. The transmission has a ACC Performance 2800 stall in it. The engine has a custom Lunati cam not a E303 and the roller rockers are actually 1.6 Scorpions, not 1.7's. I pulled the 9qt Canton oil pan off and found that it has a Scat 9000 crankshaft in it and 6.2 Scat h beam rods. Pulled the heads off as well to see what pistons are in it, looked up the numbers and they came back as Mahle forged pistons .030 over. Engine is pretty damn clean and the bores still have crosshatching. That gives me 418 cubic inches that i had no idea were hiding under all of the roughness. Ive ordered all new gaskets and will start putting this back together when they get here. After talking to Lunati and getting their recommendation on how to set up the cam ive decided to set it up on a 110 centerline. According to Lunati it should build power 2500-7500. I also got in the metal cowl induction hood for it and a lot of other new parts to replace the stuff that hadnt been replaced.

Looks like you got lucky with that one. Almost picked up the red turbo one in schertz but sold before I got there. Found one in corpus hope I get lucky with extra parts like yours.

I haven't really had time to work on it. Ive been rebuilding a daily for my daughter who is getting her driver's license. Its been taking up all of my free time. Soon it will be done and I can focus on the truck. I did have a sumped fuel tank built for it and bought the necessary items to completely redo the fuel system. Getting rid of the dual tank setup and going to a single 38 gallon tank with 1/2 fuel line and 3/8 return line.
