Whats up guys,
Need some help, Helping my brother fix his 2015 mustang GT he picked up from an action from hurricane Harvey. Car runs and drive fine low water damage reached seat cushions.

Car had air bag light ON and OBDII scan tool would not comminicate to restraints control module. Replaced the module since old one had signs of water inside. Car still wont communicate with restraints module..

Another thing after scaning entire car the ABS light is flashing and traction control warning is on.. the scanner would not communicate with ABS/ traction module. Before this abs and traction worked great.. scaner must have activated code.

Is anyone familiar with what can bus system the s550 uses? And where is it located... open to any ideas advice. Im not to familiar how these modules communicate . Thanks guys

Air bag lights fixed looks the the body control module got wet on lower right pass side and causing some glitches.

Replacment BCM ordered along with VCM2 to program should be good to go. The flashing ABS and sliding signal is advavncetrac system im sure once BCM is replaced it will resolve the issue. If not the the VCM should help with allowing to test each module and system to pin point.

Also got the shop manual from factory manuals for $79.99 which is freaking great so much info and schematics its a must for DIY guys!

Just a suggestion I bought a 14 got from Harvey and had the same code plus other high speed can codes so I replaced restraint module and still had the same code. Racked my brain to figure it out and what I finally found is that when I replaced the module I didn’t remount it to the body before testing it. The module uses case ground and without that connection it won’t communicate I mounted the airbag module and made sure mounts where clean and all of the codes went away
