Got my 2.8 Kenne Bell back from getting rebuilt, re-anodized, and upgraded to liquid cooling. Man, she's shiny!

And for reference, what it used to look like next to my old 2.4KB:

I don't have a picture but I just cleaned the dust/debris out of the gauge cluster. The crap was there when I purchased the car. I think driving around w/the top down gets crap in there and it was driving me nuts. Looks a lot better now that it's clean. Cleaned & polished the plastic cover while I had it out.

That was near the end of my drive to work . It might have hit 70-75. On the way home it hit 95-100. That's mainly because I was stuck in construction at Kellogg and Greenwich. I'm not spinning the blower hard with the 3.0 pulley on it.

Although I have been talking with Malcolm and will be running a 2.8 next year! So i should see 17psi instead of 15.

Not familiar with aero force but typically charge temp is IAT1.

Looks good! Did you send it to KB if you don't mind, how much was the rebuilt?
I've been debating on doing the same to my 2.6H, but cant decide if iam better of upgrading to the KB 2.8, or 2.9 from Whipple or if its even worth upgrading?

Thanks, it was $1,100 for the rebuild minus re-anodizing the case and shipping.

I was thinking the same thing with mine, but figured I would have to have it rebuild and everything anyway, so why not just run it since it's like a brand new blower. Also, depends on your power goals and use of the car.

Ok thanks, I plan on converting to E85 and that''ll probably be my last big mod, that should get me in the 700hp range, I hope? I'l definitely consider the rebuilt considering what these blowers cosy new.

Put on billet idlers and replaced all the bearings in all the idlers and it is a night and day difference. The random tapping I would hear is gone completely. Well worth the two hours of work.

No problem my friend, happy to answer your questions. Specs are as follows:

Wheels:
XXR 560's in Chromium Black (I.E. hyper black)
Fronts:
18x8.5 +20 wrapped in Nitto 555's 245/45/ZR18
Rears:
18x10 +20 wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact Sports 295/35/ZR18

I'm still on stock IRS.
I'm lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit Springs with all ISO's in.
I get the slightest bit of rubbing in the front on full lock but it's really a non-issue. I'm confident I would not have any rubbing at all if I had a shorter sidewall.
No rubbing issues whatsoever in the back.
I have hubcentric rings all around to keep things nice and tight.

I think they're a great bang for your buck wheel. I rocked them on my Evo X for over four years as well and never had any issues.
I'm really considering getting some XXR's, are hubcentric rings necessary? And if so, are you talking full on spacer, or what?
