Decided to tackle my trans crossmember today. Reason why I am replacing my stock unit is because my headers are spread wide so I would like to get as much clearance as possible with the Stifflers piece.

My stock crossmember

Super quick and easy swap.

This will actually work with a pretty wide variety of transmissions, they give you instructions on where to put the spacers and how many spacers to run under the trans mount.

After that was buttoned up I cleaned up my rear end and torque arm.

I then began to run both brake and fuel lines to get an idea of where I would be routing them.

Thats it for tonight, I will be getting my gas tank next so I can mount that up and start fabricating brackets for my fuel pump and do some final tweaks to the fuel line routing.

Wow, that is awesome man! I am super glad I was able to motivate you to finish yours. No need to apologize man, it looks great! That thing is super clean!!!

I wish I could work on mine more, I was making great progress but ended up getting in a motorcycle accident a week ago, a car pulled out in front of me and I had to lay it down at 50mph.

Had a nice lengthy conversation with Glenn from Glenns performance and in discussing my setup he suggested I scrap my aeromotive a1000 and his pumped tank and just run a 03 cobra tank. With that being said I will have my a1000 and filters for sale!

I was able to do some work on the rear end tonight. I was never a fan of how the stock brake lines ran as they were on the top side of the axle and I always wondered if being lowered would put them at risk of hitting the body or frame rails.

So I decided to modify the bends in the bracket and came up with this.

This route will run the line on the back side toward the bottom of the axle.

Now they are both finished. Not 100% perfect but they are very close. Now I need to bend up new brake line.

I will also need to touch up the axle tubes as the paint was messed up when it was transported to the shop for the bay.

I have my eyes set on making Fab Fords Forever in April so I hope to get this thing buttoned up quickly!!!

Good to hear Glenn's still around. I love my sleeper tank in my LX, was planning on using his '0304 Cobra tank for my '93 Cobra project.
You going with his optimized Cobra tank?
Love the project, just wanted to subscribe.

Yes, I will be using his Cobra tank as the car setup is road race inspired. Appreciate the subscribe man. I am hoping the progress picks up and I can start showing what the people really want to see.

I have decided that in order to keep momentum going on this I have decided to do at least something every single night on the car. Last night I packed up the A1000 pump, fuel lines, and all fittings along with filters and shipped them back to Summit to return them.

Also packed up my calipers to be sent off to Tom Clark, some of you know him as sinis built, to be powder coated (same color). My paint job wasn't cutting it.

Tonight I decided to put the bushings and the sway bar mounts on the sway bar. The mounts were powder coated to match the Maximum Motorsports stuff.

And mounted.

While I was in there I decided to clean up the bottom radiator rubber cups and drop the radiator in and the radiator top mount that was powder coated as well set on top.

I also set in the hood hinge rubber cups and hood hingers that were powder coated as well. Im really liking this color combo.

Im thinking tomorrow I will need to bend up brake lines for the rear end and get a new flaring tool as I broke one of my pieces to my old kit.

I wasn't 100% happy with the brackets and how they moved the brake line down where it connected to the braided line so I decided to cut up the bracket and make something a little different. This will also act as a nut for the back of the dust shield bolts. The brake bracket is threaded however I wanted to add lock nuts to the back. This takes care of that too.

I started with some aluminum stock drilled and tapped.

This one looks crooked almost but its the angle of the camera.

Still have some adjusting to do on the bends of the brake line but this is what I ended up with.

This puts the brake line on the top still however its moved the line closer to the end of the axle. Overall its probably not much different than where it originally was but oh well. Its fun making new shit.
