Lol, budget man. I only paid $500 for that engine lmao. $250 for the Mach intake and probably another $200-$300 for the misc parts. Find me a Coyote swap that cheap. Thanks for the compliments, yeah sleeper for sure but I'm moving to Europe so I'll be literally one of the only ppl on the continent with one haha. Moving to Spain for 4 years and then hopefully another 4 year extension there or to Germany. I have done a lot of traveling around Europe with the USAF and would not be opposed to retiring there...
500? damn good deal, awesome job man! Are you putting cobra emblems on her now or nah lol?

Tune is very close to being dialed in. James said the other day that my STEP datalog looked damn near perfect. Going to do a STEP datalog under a load in 2nd or 3rd gear and send that to him and then that is probably it... He'll turn all the emissions stuff back on and that'll be that. Car runs like a top.

If you eaton swap it just look for Marauder swap brackets. I did it on mine and is a very simple setup. I did a H122 eaton instead of the m112 for a much different look. Then all you will need is a lower mani, intercooler, m112 parts, and a metco lower pulley setup. Dont need to do a timing chain cover swap or need the large crossover for the second belt.

Lol maybe when I get out to Europe. Car is going to Baltimore on the 4th to get put in climate controlled storage until its its turn to get on a ship and get shipped over. Going to suck to have just got it done and then have to part with it for 4-6 weeks but it is what it is.

But I did not know about the Marauder setup, that is damn good advice. The less shit I need to worry about the better. I am still trying to find a cheap cowl hood around here but dunno. I mean I can definitely get one shipped over but that'll be $$$$.

That's a pretty legit build. Once I get to Spain and get settled I am going to start with a few things as far as "upgrades" to this car and then start building my block I had shipped over in my household goods for big power.

I shipped over:

.020 WAP block
-18cc Diamond pistons
-Boss rods
-3 cranks (2 cast, 1 forged that needs turned)

Interesting read, good info in this thread, i used to have a 01 Continental as my daily driver and that car always flew and the motor was always silent. Something to be said for 4v Assembly line built motors and not the handmade garbage that does not last. Sold it after 145k great miles and still ran like day one. Goodluck overseas!

Might want to check out the guy with 400k on his 03 before you call it "hand made garbage". One friend has an 01 that's around 170k and another with an 03 at 190k. The stock engine is just fine. It's when people like us that double the stock power that the issues pop up. We ask the engines to do things they weren't designed for.

Well... the Terminators had piston skirt issues and the head tick problem but that's all documented. And yeah a lot of the issues with the Terminators are from ppl just doing stupid retarded shit to them.

Anyway, I just got to doing WOT pulls today with the laptop in the passenger seat datalogging the whole way. Little lean on the 4500rpm WOT pull getting to almost 13 on the wideband so the tuner adjusted. Next pull to 5500rpm the AFR held around 12.6 so tuner did a little more fine tuning. Next pull to 6500rpm the thing SCREAMED all the way up to 110mph in 3rd and AFR held in the low 12s the whole time. Sent that log out an hour ago and hopefully will have a finalized tune soon.

I'm towing the car to Baltimore on the 4th so I need a finalized tune by then lol. Putting it on the boat and I'll see it again probably end of Feb... :( But in 70 degree weather southwest Spain!

Tune is about finalized. Car pulls like a freight train to 6500 and blows the tires off in 1st and 2nd. Putting it on the trailer tomorrow and towing down to Baltimore for shipping to Spain on the 4th... not going to see it till like March... :(

Theres always a few, my old Lightning had 250k on it original everything before i sold it, but my friend had a 01 cobra with 23k miles that blew up and it was stock, had a 03 cobra with just typical bolt ons no big blower and it blew up at 55k, i had 12 96-98 cobras that all blew up with under 100k miles..there are always freak show cases and of course if we demand 3x the power of course a kaboom is expected.

Speaking of reliable modulars... towed the Mustang down to Baltimore 3.5 hours this morning going 55mph with the car on one of those U Haul car trailers. Towed with my old 5.4L 2V 03 Expedition I sold to my dad a few months ago. Bone stock truck that had every option (tow package) minus the now useless Nav and DVD system.

Truck is just hitting 150k miles. Has had the fluids all/filters done on time, COP rebuild and plugs at 100k and that's it. I swear that drivetrain is going to outlast the sheetmetal of the vehicle... Towed it like a champ, yeah it sucked going up the one "grade" I had to go up but 35mph for a few minutes with hazards on in the right lane and good to go.

As for the Mustang. I hated that I had to wash it beforehand in 14 degree weather but it was required so basically the car was clean but covered in clean ice when I got it there since I just towed the whole trailer into a touchless booth and sprayed it down... it'll melt tho.

Car is slated to be there no later than 8 weeks from now as in 20 minutes from where I'll be living. I am really worried about it but... its insured and they ship vehicles all the time. There were cars way more expensive than mine there being shipped including some guy's race modded FD RX7 so whatevs.

Only thing really when I get there is to just clean the crap out of it, make sure nothing is messed up, modify the air intake to accept the 2V IAC Thinking my problem is the 4V IAC fighting with the 2V computer even tho the tune was adjusted. That or there is an accessory that was hating the cold and seizing up. I dunno. If its an accessory that's easy, so is the IAC. I'll get it. Now to worry about moving my whole family to a new continent... no biggie...

Car arrived here a few weeks ago. Passed the crazy ass Spanish inspection with 0 issues at all. Emissions, everything just fine. Getting the Euro plates tomorrow, able to drive on my US plates till I get them. Have been tearing up the roads around here too... going handling and leaving the 3.27s was definitely a good call I think. Lots of curves, 0 traffic lights at all on my 25 minute commute to work and its just fun. The James Gordon tune for this thing really is spot on. Can't recommend him enough.

Been really enjoying this thing out here. Euro plates are on and just really enjoying the roads here and no stoplights. Turns lots of heads, sometimes get nasty looks, oh well lol. Routinely running it over 7K RPM and its doing great.

Just a little update if anyone happens to care, front suspension needs to get done in the car badly to match the FTBR IRS out back. So that is this winter's project. Debating if I want to drop the coin on a Steeda K since I don't want to go with coilovers and would not trust a UPR for a handling car.

Plan is leave the stock K or go Steeda K, BMR A arms with the better balljoints, bumpsteer kit and then I still need to decide on handling springs/shocks/struts. Probably Konis and HRs.

I also happened upon a guy who had a spare set of SN95 export mirrors. Grabbed those.

Also have been researching the hell out of this after completely forgetting about it and re-reading this thread just to go over what I did again since it's been a whole year (wtf?!). Looks pretty legit and cheaper than paying $2500 for a "full eaton swap" with an unported blower. My only concern would be stock GT hood clearance ande getting the feet on the M122 case milled. How did you wind up going about doing that? Also would have to delete the EGR which I'm not a huge fan of but I thought emissions would be a way bigger deal out in Spain and they are definitely not lol. For American imports the Spanish inspection=does it have cats? do all the lights work? is there anything obviously wrong with it?
