Okay, so as I'm bench assembling the supercharger to the intercooler and lower intake, I ran in too a couple issues.

1st Issue:
I'm only able to use 9 out of the 10 supercharger to intercooler fasteners. The Whipple does not have a spot for one of the bolts. Is this normal?

2nd Issue:
The lower intake manifold alignment/positioning insert does not fit into the Whipple's base. Is this common? Do I need to modify it? Or should this not be like this?

My 2.9Crusher also only uses 9 out of 10 holes. Since I got mine used from Gerry Davis whom is on this forum and he's been around the block a time or two and has ran nearly a 9sec 1/4 with this blower on his car. I figured if it wasn't supposed to be that way, he would have fixed it.

my 3.4 also was missing the intercooler hole. It's just a whipple thing. Not sure why but all the ones I've touched are like that. But i've never seen an issue with it.

The second thing, it should be machined for the alignment dowel. That's an error on whipple's part. But you will probably be fine leaving it out. Once all the bolts are started I doubt there's much wiggle room that would throw anything off alignment wise.
