My current job in 29 Palms. I am currently a TACP evaluator/ instructor at the Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG). We put on multiple large scale Integrated Training Exercise's (ITX) each year for deploying Marine Corps units prior to their deployments. Focus is on integrating fire support (Artillery mortars other Indirect Fire assets and Aviation) with maneuvering units. Some of the older Marines knew it as CAX (Combined Arms Exercise) Mojave Viper or EMV (Enhanced Mojave Viper). My role in this is to instruct and evaluate the Battalion's Forward Air Controllers (FAC) and Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC). Basically the guys on the ground coordinating and controlling the air strikes. This is just a compilation of some of the videos I have taken over the last year. Hours are very long on this job, but I do get to see all of the Marine Corps toys in action multiple times per year out here in the desert and try and make sure the younger Marines know all of the things I wished I would have known prior to going into Iraq/Afghanistan many years ago. We get some other joint assets to show up and play as well.

Good times! I really enjoyed rushing 3 clicks after the F18s, Cobras, artillery, mortars, and a Javelin all unleashed on our objective and they told us there was still enemy in the target area lol.

Hey you know we have to leave something for you guys to kill. Can't have aviation kill it all. Haha.

I was a 13F for 20 years; Army Forward Observer. Towards my later years, was CAS trained and worked side by side with JTACS and all that.

When I was stationed at NTC those were good times cause Nellis AFB supported alot of our FTX's.

Most of the world will never know the sound of freedom of an A-10 letting loose over head. Glad those guys are on our side

As a ground and pounder range 400 or 401 is a pita. Although we were there in January (winter) it was still tough to go through. Can only imagine how insane that place is during the summer. I would’ve probably went UA if I was stationed in 29.

Is range 400 the one I had the story about? Where you can see the highway that leads to Vegas I believe way off in the distance and there is just a mountain to the left? That was bad but worse than range 600 on Pendleton? I hated everything about range 600. Even got charged by the resident Buffalo there one night.
