Indeed, but if one of your cars get totaled aren't you SOL?

I did not read everything in the link so don't kill me if I missed something. :)
Well yeah. But the way insurance companies work.. is it that happens.. you'll be paying a 30+% cap rate on the value of your cars for a good chunk of your life. Insurance companies are babies that cry when you take their money. Some even posted profits after two hurricanes. Even if it weren't the case, you can ride two horses at once.. so for people with multiple cars.. the premiums shouldn't reflect as if they were being driven every day.. but they do.

Anecdotally.. my mom is due to pay 8000 a year for a single Range Rover after 2 parking lot incidents, one of which was a poll that caused very little damage; silly her made the small claim; how dare she actually use her insurance. One guy I know was paying 200 a month on a $3000 Civic. Do that math and it's a layup. Not a high risk driver, just a regular guy that obviously sucks at math.

Awesome Eddy! Congratulations. So...what are your immediate plans. What did this Cobra come with, mods-wise?

2.8 pulley, CAI, bassani mid pipe, borla catback, a few suspension mods. MGW shifter.. The typical checklist (3.73s are the exemption to that). As for plans of mine.. First thing up is a retune.. I feel some hesitation here and there and would also like better control over tuning (so SCT Pro Tools w/wideband). Right now, I'm just basking in the happiness of having a Mustang Cobra in my garage again!

PS. You should definitely up the boost on that Edge.. Factory turbo cars are too fun.

Cool, aftermarket deep dish 10th Anniversary rims. I can't see the badge in the back clearly but it looks like it's not a 10th Anniversary car???

It's a 10th Anniversary.. Mats, badge, and red leather and all.. Suede non-10th would've been my first choice.. But 18k and 44.7k miles? Couldn't pass it up.

The Man, the Myth, the legend.

Before youtube and millions of racing vids, there was Blades with one of the first Terminator vids on P2P.

Yeah, I've thought about it, but there's not much out there for the 2.7 EB. The 3.5 EB in the Explorer Sport gets all the love. LOL.

The mods on your "new" Cobra are close to what you had on your original Cobra, right?

Don't worry, Bob, I've got your back! It's got to be somewhere in here. Unreal how many variables on variables are in the tune. Ignore the open sub window.. to the right.. Right off the bat there is some easy stuff like tq reduction and ETC limits.. But really, yikes.. Coming from "simple" E38-E67 GM tuning.. it's a bit daunting.

This Cobra needs some mid-length headers and o/r X to sound like my old car.. Though yes.. you're right.. it's pretty close.

I would try upping the "outlet pressure" and see if anything blows up (jk.. kinda) Then I'd get rid of the drop in boost between shifts.. or at least tone it down.. I saw a video of a 2.7 and it does look like ~24 is max boost

Found another post detailing the process of tuning these things.. 2.7L specific. https://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?60578-All-Kinds-of-Limits/ Looks like I was on the right track.. sort of.. I wouldn't want to just go in there and crank all values... I really hate that they introduce.. I guess you could call it synthetic turbo lag via tip-in limits and spark reduction..

That is an awesome deal indeed. I love 10th Anniversary Cobras, but I'm a little biased. ;-)

Going nuts trying to find COBRA door sill plates. They're extinct, aren't they? I think UPR used to make them.

I think the problem is people learn what they are supposed to do, get insurance, and never question it. So much of what we do doesn't make sense, but we accept it because all of the cattle are moving in the same direction.

It is life, it is scripted, and it is to the benefit of the guys who set up the system.

Preaching to the choir sir. There are so many ways that different large entities can win, it's amazing that they actually fail from time to time.. or rather.. almost fail (aka bail). Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had revolving credit facilities that finance at L+350 (as opposed to cc). At least we're not EU or Japan.. I guess.

Japan's food and people and overall experience is great tho. EU not so much. The whole imbalance thing is a very long topic with many tangents.

I get that you don't care about losing your car--as that's not a huge financial burden, but what happens when you hurt someone or damage their property? That's why I have insurance--to cover the other persons property and medical bills.

There were a chrome UPR Terminator set on eBay that just sold. There is a guy I think it’s Laniersvt on Facebook that makes some nice ones. I don’t have any yet but will one of these days. A friend of mine has them on his OW and they look sweet.
