Apparently I should’ve got an automatic. You’re a full second faster and 10 mph higher. And I’m using a wastegate with a 3.33 pulley. I just added back the 7psi spring because the 10psi was causing knock. Fml...
Im surprised your getting knock at 10 psi. To answer couple questions, the 10.55 was on 93 with a little lucas booster added. I just picked up the JPC e85 kit as well and its being installed as we speak. Im shooting for 9s. I also switched to 6r80 with a 3C

Riddick- I left at 4200 rpm on that pass, on the 2step

Gruca, i fixed my knock issue by removing the pcv system. I did a boost smoke test and noticed it was pushing boost out through check valves back into intake along with some oil to knock down my octane. Have you checked your pcv system?

My PCV system is removed. I have two of the Bobs Oil Seperators on there now.

What is the seperator connected to? Just the valve covers and opne to atmosphere on the other side? I fell like ive asked you this before...

It’s hooked up the same as the original PCV system. Passenger side is crankcase and intake manifold, the other side is crank case and the cold air intake.

I did a smoke test on the intercooler piping. This showed smoke blowing into my intake tube through the check valve on the PCV system. Your MPH doesnt look low to me but the octane issues you are seeing remind me of what I was seeing with oil being pushed into the intake causing knock issues. Ever since I removed it I haven't had knock issues and have added 2-3 deg of timing back into it with Lund.

You just put breathers on yours?

Yes, that is what solved my knock issues.

Ordered a set. If I get excessive oil saturation, guess I’ll have to do a leak down check. I put a breather on my oil cap and had to take it off because the amount of oil coming out was crazy. It smoked so bad I though my car was on fire.

Its hard to diagnose over the internet but it sounds like you may have some ring issues if you are blowing that much smoke out of the breather. Years back I had a turbo Honda that went lean and I cracked all 4 ring lands on the pistons and it pushed quite a bit of smoke out of the breather.

I would start with a compression test and go from there, if any of the numbers are low add a tiny bit of oil to the cylinder..... if compression goes up your rings are done. Best of luck and please post up the results of adding the breathers.

It didn’t blow smoke from the breather, it blew enough oil to saturate the filter and cause it to drip on the engine, which is when the smoke started.

Did you ever figure your knock issue out? Currently on a 3.33 wastegated setup, only have 92 octane where I'm at and I'm getting knock at 10psi, 8.5psi and 7psi and Shaun just keeps saying bad gas and that he has 4 degrees pulled out over a 91 tune even. I've tried 5 different gas stations in town, and it's always "bad gas" which I find almost impossible to believe. No pcv system, just have breathers, did a compression check on when the car was warm and I was 180 across the board on all cylinders. I'm thinking false knock but he doesn't seem interested in tuning out the knock from an outside source.

I was told bad gas as well. When I added octane booster, the knock went down and/or went away, so it seems legit in my case. However, I'm fairly certain I have engine issues now, so that might've been part of my issue.

When Lund told me "bad gas" it was eventually tracked down to PCV system. After my PCV system was disconnected my "bad gas" knock went away. I did the same trying all of the different gas stations in town getting the same result.

When you mentioned it before, I went and ordered the JPC breather set. I installed them but haven’t checked the knock yet.
