so last year didn't go as planned. as i wanted to run a 8.99 with a factory longblock other then head studs. well, i broke the factory oil pump gear as i was stupid and did not put a billet one in. oh well it was a good time to build a motor. here is the run down on the new motor.
factory romeo block standard bore
factory 03 cobra crank
Molnar turbo billet rods
Diamond 10.1:1 pistons with h13 .200" wall wrist pins
arp 2000 head studs, main studs, side bolts, rod bolts, cam gear bolts
triangle speed shop billet oil pump gears
Shelby mike guides
cloyes adjustable timing set
todd warren spec'd bullet custom ground turbo cams
livernois ported heads, pac springs, stainless valves
along with the same setup as last year, CG fabrication hot side, twin 46mm precision wastegates, bullesye 80/87 Batmowheel, Sullivan lower intake with edelbrock upper intake and 90mm oval throttle body. the goal is to make 1000hp and drive to the track run a 8.99 and drive it home. or atleast close to that : D

Looks good! I’m switching to the holley dominator and turbo setup this winter on my factory longblock, I went just a little bigger on the turbo though lol. Gonna be running a forced inductions s485/96 t4 flange. How’d you like your 80/87?

I really like it. spools fast, the quality of the turbo is really really nice. they care about there there products. I work for BorgWarner, I just went with bullseye because I heard good things and I wanted to try out the batmowheel.

How much boost do you plan on running at 10:1?
I just picked up a turbo kit, and my current setup is 10:1. With low timing, we should be ok?

what rods do you have? with 10.5+ people run 30+lbs still. as long as you have good hardware and enough fun. race gas/e85 ect. ect. then your fine. I'm gonna run prolly 25lbs. I just wanna break 1000wheel and keep it as reliable as possible. I have a baby boy due in march. I want to enjoy the car without working on it hopefully and be able to enjoy spending time with little guy. but u know how it goes, always something to tinker with, with these cars! haha atleast modded out like we have them.

How do you like the Holley EFI?
do not have it installed yet. but my buddy has the HP and dominator and its awesome!! I'm excited to dig deep into this. my buddy and I was tuning my car with the stock ecu which is much more difficult and a pain in the ass haha. mostly because little adjustments you gotta save to computer, download to hand held, then flash the ecu. its so time consuming. just the fact that with the holley you can adjust the tune while its running and it has self learning is BADASS!! haha.

Did you have to modify the angle of the flange on the crossover? And any pics of your turbo support?

Nice list of ingredients

Make sure you check if Diamond located the valve reliefs correctly. A member ran clay across the piston domes and discovered they machine the pockets in the wrong location which could have ended in disaster and actually gave him crap about it. My preference are CP's but Diamond would be high on the list for mod motor slugs.

yes for sure! we clayed the pistons and it had .170" relief between it and the valve. thank god! haha. that would suck to have to take it back apart and machine the piston reliefs. especially after paying $1,200 for the pistons. (including the skirt coating and upgraded h13 pins)
