Haha I wish I had these prices. I'm 25 with my 03 Cobra fully covered being my "pleasure" vehicle and my 15 malibu as primary it's 486 a month haha I haven't been ticketed or in an accident in about 4 or 5 years.

. . . another rate increase with perfect driving record . . . .

. . . a 48 year old man coming in off the street with good credit/driving history, $837 for a 6 month policy? And my coverage isn't crazy, no uninsured motorist...
Bodily Injury 50K/100K
Property 50K
P10 No Fault
250 deduct Comp
1000 deduct collison
Road side/car rental

. . .

Close to $1200 for a guy my age seems high? I was OK being quoted $430/860 just a year ago. . . .

Are you still a resident of Florida? Florida has interesting insurance laws. I don't know too much about these laws, but your rate increase is likely due to them. From my understanding of insurance in Florida, your own insurance will provide you coverage in the event that you incur a loss (Motor Vehicle Collision, theft, etc.), regardless of who is at fault, and that you may file a claim against an at-fault party only if they cause permanent injury to you.

The insurance companies still want their revenue. If they have to pay out more, they will increase rates. Thus, your insurance likely increased because there were more accidents in Florida this year.

Why do you not have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage? That's pretty dumb. Do you have a hefty health insurance policy? Does your policy provide coverage in the event of a motor vehicle collision?

2014 GT500, 2012 BMW 538i, 2012 F-150 Platinum with USAA full coverage with all the bells and a cherry on top = $196 a month. Very happy and have not shopped around for quite some time...but already know it would be hard to beat USAA. Customer service is the best and have never had one issue with any claim.

"My name is Bob and I'm a USAA customer for life."
I should be on a commercial. I'm a real big deal and have many leather bound books.

I have USAA, as well, and I find that their rates are unbeatable. I have a 50/100/50 policy with all the extras. I pay $78 a month for my Mustang, which is interesting considering the fact that South Carolina is known for its' terrible and uninsured drivers. Last I checked, we're dead first for the Country's worst drivers.

You or a family member has to be in the military. Mother or father can sponsor you into USAA...for life.

USAA was started by retired officers and in the beginning only offered the discounted insurance to other officers. They changed and started offering to enlisted members. Now they have included family members.

I'm still trying to find better rates for me than Erie, but no dice. Everyone is around the same price. $1800 a year for full coverage on both the Jetta & MS6. I tried getting collector insurance on the MS6 since it's not driven much, garaged, blah blah & no one would insure it, but someone said NCM insures his dad's Speed3. WTF?!
Looks like Esurance is about $200 a yr cheaper for me after all is said & done so I'm likely switching.

Wow those are some high prices... my 2003 cobra + 2005 acura TL daily driver, my yearly premium is just shy of $1,200. I'm in St. Louis, MO & just turned 28 years old. No tickets/accidents on record. My insurance is through a broker & we went with Nationwide as they came in the cheapest.

Went to my agents office today and raised some hell. I got close to $90 off my 6 month premium, now it's $500 for the Coyote.

2011 Mustang GT Vert
Geico- Full coverage, towing, $500 deductible and accident forgiveness.
$165/6 months
If it helps, I have a 2013 Focus, 2011 Mustang and 2010 Acura MDX.
All have full coverage/towing/accident forgiveness.
Total is $465/6 months for all three.
My homeowners insurance is with Farmers so I don't get any bundle discounts.

Your paying $27 a month for the 2011 Mustang? How is that possible?

46, married, near perfect credit, no accidents, no tickets in 25 years.
Down as a "pleasure driving" only on my insurance. Tell them that I would, at most, drive 5000 miles per year. it only has 21,000 miles on it and I have owned it for 5 years.
Plus, I live in rural Indiana. I see that you are from Florida. You get sunshine, crime and nice weather. I get snow, 40 mph winds this week and low costs.

I remember when USAA was only for NCO's and Officers.....those were the days

From a 43 yr old with no kids and spotless record......
I had USAA 1996-2016
In 2016 I had a 6 car policy + homeowners
Switched to Nationwide......Fuk USAA!

Will not get into rates, as I am older than most, so it's neither here nor there. I ditched USAA after 2 years of my insurance rates going up by $40-$60 every 6 months. When I inquired, no concrete reason. Even after dealing with management.

In 2013, after having a black F150 in SoCal desert for 3 years, I ASKED for advice and an expert option on possibly paying my deductible and having my truck repainted from the environment. (Fort Irwin qualifies for this). After thinking it over, I decided AGAINST IT. And paid nothing, no new paint.

7 months later my rate went up because I FILED A CLAIM. That is not my definition of claim. W/E

Nationwide does not insure DUI motorists, and my rates are lower and have not increased. Plus, Peyton Manning approves
