Somebody spill the beans. Repaint because paint damage or repaint because of body damage?
Two different scenarios.
We have a member here that has an active count on these cars, Verts & Coupes. With known history. I'm sure he'll see this.
I know carfax is a joke but it's good to know what other people know when dropping money down.
I knew of a Grabber Blue '13 Shelby that was advertised immensely by an first class asshole on anther forum. And he's on this forum too! Great car, great mods. But....
he forgot to tell the part where the car had smacked the wall @ the track. Excessive front damage, rear quarter damage, I'm sure bags deployed.... all not in the add with mega pics & even vids.
The car was fixed on the owners dime, and put on the market.
This same person has a car for sale soon. I'll refresh everyone's memory the day it hits the market...

I talked with the owner yesterday. He owns a mustang part shop and gets in cars fixes then sells. Said the car had stripes so from the Windows down was repainted. Its been posted for sell since August starting at 35k. Dropped to 25 k now. My buddy also spoke with him a while back and has been told 3 different stories about the car.

The site is called blu motorsports in Belmont. Also has a Facebook page. He parts out alot of mustangs.

OP, I actually seen the car in question while it had the black accents. If those had never been painted on the car would be a mid to high $30k car. It was in overall great condition as far as paint and interior. I heard the paint job was hacked, didn’t remove stripes completely before repaint. Cant verify that, just here say. I believe a member here went to buy the car and noticed the crappy paint work and walked away. If the car could be bought in the low $20k’s it’d be a perfect candidate to strip down completely and repaint. Good luck with your search!

yes, that is exactly right. it's the same vin as the one in this thread from just a couple of months ago.

in that thread and ebay link, the paint was not as good as it is in the current ebay listing (wheelwell overspray, etc). so i guess they are trying to improve it lol.

as far as accidents, previous owners, etc, i haven't got any info on it. it did look pretty ghetto'd out in that one pic, however they sure do seem to be trying hard to make the overall car appear completely original again.

so as always, buyer beware and best of luck -
