I bought an 01 F250 that has some light swirling and a few deeper scratches. I have 2 orange lake country light cutting pads and was wondering if I could get away with cutting and polishing with the orange pads or if I need to buy a white polishing pad. I'll be using M105/205 on a DA. Thanks

Don't hate me too much, it is a 6" Harbor Freight DA.

Nothing wrong with that DA. Are there better ones? Of course, but a buddy of mine makes his Trailblazer SS shine like a diamond with that same DA.

Go back to Harbor Freight and pick up some of their 6" blue (polishing) pads for the m205 and maybe some black (finishing) pads for any wax you plan on laying over the top.

You might not even need the m105 if your imperfections aren't that bad. Try the least aggressive combo first and work your way up if need be.

I'm personally not a big fan of a 6" backing plate on the HF DA machine.
I feel it you get better control and performance using a 5" backing plate.
I prefer the Meguiars 5" DBP5 backing plate and 5" pads on a DA .

Light swirls can be corrected with a LC orange medium pad and M205 but...
To make life easier I might suggest the Megs DMC5 5" DA Microfiber Cutting Disc.

My Thoughts...
Meguiar's 5" Backing Plate DBP5
Meguiars 5" DMC5 DA Microfiber Cutting Discs
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound D300

NOTE: Do not chase the "few deeper scratches" Swirls can be corrected.
Random Independent Deep Scratches (RIDs) should not be chased by a newbie.
