I had a pro stock driver who is "currently retired", but knows all the big names swear he could get me a demon out of Chicago napleton in the 70s. I didn't want to argue because he earned his salt and who the hell am I to say otherwise. It sounded like the price revolves around old school connections regarding that particular car .

This is how you get all of America excited. Say what you will, Dodge Marketing is KILLING it right now. Media are saying the Demon should be banned...which makes every car guy in the world want one! No way the GT500 arrives with this type of hype, exposure. No way. FORD needs to build a DEMON slayer, not a ZL1 1LE slayer. Nobody even gives a SH#T about that Camaro.

This is true. They have killer marketing.
The Demon will be beast, but I don't know if it will run exactly what they say it will run. Still beastly.
I hope Ford's new GT500 is just as beastly. I'm pretty sure it will be.

listen, I have yet to even see a 350R on the road. Granted there will be 1000 more of the demons built, I doubt I have the pleasure to try one when I get my GT500. May not see a one out, I’m afraid.

I BARELY see any GT350 cars around never mind a GT350R!
I think I've seen only one GT350 car in person since they have been available at dealerships.

I never really considered that..

I've only seen 2 GT350Rs that were owned by real people, and they were both on the race track. I've never seen one on the street.

There is a good chance you'll never see a demon.

If they build the demon in ‘19 which will probably happen, and they run another 3000 (could be less), that would increase the chances dramatically. After the additional units ruin its collectibility, The owners will drive them more. But yah, keep them off the street and street kills will be next to none.

I know the guy that snached up my demon allocation is from Colorado...1 less in my area. I think there were only like 3 others and a couple of those are leaving my area.

I suspect I’ll see at least a few of them...I know at least one has been delivered to Jacksonville and I know a guy in South Georgia who is getting one (to go with the several hellcats he owns) that will regularly find its way to SGMP.

Crazy true story. I live in NYC. I walk outside my building and smack dab parked on the street, a black GT350R with grey stripes. I must say, it is a gorgeous car. I wish for would make more because then prices would be normal MSRP and more would buy and you'd see more of this amazing car.

I am going to drive the piss out of my demon. I don't believe in buying a car and then not driving it. Not saying this to be a snob, but if you are worried about resale or miles, you shouldn't be buying cars like this.

Ford needs to take note of the absolutely amazing marketing that FCA did on the Demon with respect to the reveal and the "buzz" they created around the car before it was actually released. Ford has had plenty of time to see what everyone else has done from the ZL1 1le to the ZR1 that was just released and of course the Demon. The new GT500 should absolutely be a no excuses car that blows the competition away. While I like the Demon and what it offers, I'm holding out for the new GT500 and hoping Ford will deliver. If not, a used Demon will be nice as well.

ford must not care too much about It. Look at the GT...hardly anything, GT350, a commercial of them racing around (way after the fact), 13 gt500, a YouTube vid back in ‘12. Focus RS, Raptor, a couple YouTube vids.
Nothing with much draw/appeal that says we want to pull people into showrooms. I don’t see them starting now, but yah never know

if the demon is only a Beast on race gas then its hardly a beast.... to my understanding on 93 pump gas it makes 500 hp. thats a joke at 4300 lbs! thats a low 12 second car which was fast 20 years ago but a pig by todays standards.

I mean how many people are gonna even have access to a 100 octane gas? its not like you can go to ur local pump and find it. I guess one could add Torco to it every time they go out or fill up but thats kinda ridiculous for a $100k car!

so 99% of the time when Demon owners are out driving its with 500 "CRANK" hp which is like 450 rwhp. wow a $100k+ for 450 hp..... woooopie!

can't wait to smoke one by 10 bus lengths and then watch him pull off at the next street so he doesn't have to see that my Mustang GT embarrassed him!

I agree. I don't buy any of vehicles looking to make an investment on them. If I like it, and I have the funds, I will buy it.

I don't think that's the case. I think with 93 octane they are over 700HP.
With the race gas, (100 octane), they are at the 840HP.

They never will. A few reasons why:

1. Dodge is bankrupt and they have let the enthusiast guys run the show. SRT is one of the only groups making money for them

2. Tim K over at Dodge gets it. The Ford leadership guys are more concerned with making the plants zero emissions. Dodge could care less.

3. Domestic not Domesticated is a brilliant tag line. It's divisive, a little sexist, and everything a car guy wants to hear. Ford would never have the guts to say something like this.

4. It's called a freaking DEMON and previously a Hellcat. Those names are far superior than ZL1, ZR1 and GT350, GT500 when it comes to creating marketing hype. Tell an old lady a Shelby GT500 is coming out and then tell her a car named a Demon that was banned for being too fast at the track is also coming out, which one gets the attention?

5. Single purpose middle finger kind of car. We all know the GT500 will have less power and not best the Demon's 1/4 mile time. Sure it will be a better all around car, but being good all around does not give you a singular marketing hook like "World's Fastest Production Car".

6. Demon pops wheelies. Seriously, the first production car ever to pop a wheelie. That is marketing gold. Makes every person dream and smile when they hear that. Will the GT500 be the first to do anything?

7. With the ZR1 and Demon out, the GT500 won't blow anything away. It will be marginally better than a ZL1 1LE and that's about it.

8. Ford is so late to the game. Hate to say it but Ford has become a bit of a joke with how long it's taken them to respond to what Chevy and Dodge have released. GT350 is a great car, but my Hellcat walked on those things all day long. WAA WAA.

One of the members on the Hellcat forum got his Demon delivered yesterday and it is sitting in his garage.
Looks killer, just still a little "iffy" on the fender flares for me.
