thanks for all the kind replies gang...got to drive the car a little bit last night and it is seriously such an incredible and perfect machine. I have zero regrets. added bonus was when I opened the trunk up and found a corvette bag with a genuine ZR1 cover inside! wowowow...just keeps getting better!

Also, the PO had the window sticker laminated and everything...just incredible stuff for a car guy to have with his purchase!

Now tell how silly your original post about "should I get a ZR1 or keep the gt" was????

There is no comparing the 2. Not in the same galaxy.

You got yourself a good one man! The fact that you found what you found in the car, its a tell tell sign that the PO was a car guy and took great care of it. So much so, that he was willing to pass on the corvette bag and cover to another lucky guy.

That thing is MINT.

Cant wait to see some video / pics of it in action!

haha...yes, I really underestimated how great having this car would be. The sad part is I will drive it wayyy less than the mustang.

Great looking ZR1, definitely a car that even Ford only guys like. Did they improve the interior over the base C6/Z? Not knocking but I've heard for a 115+k car the interior is severely lacking in terms of quality and fit/form, is this true? I know a lot of magazines will use terms like that because they're used to to most high end cars, hell anything is going to feel cheap and lacking in materials compared to a Maybach. LoL

believe it or not the interior is pretty dam good...having owned a c6z this is a nice step up...everything is leather wrapped including the dash, carbon center console and the PO put in a badass pioneer navi/dvd stereo which does literally everything and then some. Has a backup cam installed on it with the k40 all wired in. Heated seats. ZR1 floor mats. It's about on the same level as the lambo I rented in phoenix a few weeks back...pretty good in most spots with some plastic here and there. Having the uprgraded stereo is really nice...my daughter was watching airwolf on it while I was driving the other day. lol.

I was also able to purchase a GM extended warranty for it yesterday...3 years 36 thousand additional miles for 2700. Bumper to bumper (just like the factory).
