Plastic, plastic, plastic

Just finished watching the below comparison between a BMW M2 and a GT350. One of his big gripes with the Mustang are the "hard plastic" interior parts. I used to take this in stride because I hadn't personally experienced the interior of BMW's. I have since sat in several BMW models at auto shows and honestly don't know what all the fuss is about. They all use hard plastic parts. Why is this always a big concern in Mustang reviews?

Looks like a BMW channel so they are going to be extremely biased. The common mindset is that the BMW is going to be a higher quality car with an awesome interior with high end materials and the Mustang will have a crappy plastic interior.

I'd rather have all my money going into the actual design and build of the new car I'm purchasing, rather than a flashy interior to up the MSRP.

It's understandable that someone buying a BMW would expect a higher quality interior than a Ford, but is it really that much better? Mustang uses aluminum, leather, soft touch, Alcantara, and hard plastics. Is it the wood accents they get a woody over? I don't get it.

Agreed, the latest Mustang interior is much higher quality that the SN95. Ergonomics have also vastly improved. I can't believe how tight the SN95's are to sit in and I'm only 6' 2"....especially the passenger side.

The SN95s are definitely right. I'm 6 ft and always hit the blinker with my knee. I also only keep one small keychain with the key because my leg was always brushing against all the other keys/keychains.
