I was thinking about purchasing a set of replica 18" rear wheels from American Muscle and fitting some wider tires, 305?or +, just for days I might go to the drags. Has anyone had experience with these wheels?

The offset is listed as +45mm. They don't list the GT500 as compatible but do list the Bullitt and GT. I have the Track Pack. Will these fit?
Other option would be to find a set of real Rears and have them widened, more expensive and would have the car down while I did this. I don't daily the car, but try to take it out 2-3 times a week.

They'll fit but for a 305 you're going to need more offset to get it under the fender. Depending on the tire diameter and if you're lowered it might be tight. May want to make sure they clear the front Brembo's if you have a 13-14. Probably need a minimum of +50mm offset in the rear, but more if you go with a wider tire. If you're just looking for a wheel/tire to mount while you're having the stocker widened, you probably want something in a 285 for that wheel.

If it's just for the drags, grab those replicas and some MT ET Street Rs in 18"

Yeah. Just for those occasional days. Not sure why they don't list the GT500 as being compatible though. Also CM mentioned and I think I might agree that I would need a little more offset to run a wider tire with these wheels.

Dragstar/Darkstars are 18x10.5 and are direct boltons for reference. I run those and you can find the backspace and offset to go from there.
