Just bought a 04 cobra with 35k miles. The engine coolant is pretty dirty and the Intercooler coolant is clean (gold colour) I thought I’d try testing my Intercooler. I went to jump it from the relay and added a coat hanger in the two terminals but nothing happens in the reservoir? Fuse is good aswell. I’m guessing the pump is bad? @35k miles?

Are you sure you jumpered the correct terminals? If you did, and the fuse is good, and you can't hear the pump running, then yes, it is bad. Mine wasn't circulating water, but the reason for that was because the inlet of the pump was plugged with the seal from an antifreeze jug.

Yes I’m sure I jumped the right terminals, I’m about to order a pump off American muscle, it looks like it has gold coolant, is it the same gold coolant that id use for engine coolant?
Dont buy a pump from them. You will overpay! I bought mine from a seller on eBay new in a sealed Bosch box for 90 dollars free shipping.

Yeah thanks I’ll shop around, cars out for storage anyways so I’m going to be doing all the maintenance in the winter. That’s why I checked if my pump operating or not

I don’t mind, I’m in Canada. It’s a Canadian Car. $21.5k Car is in KM and realized it has 31k miles if converted. It’s a 04 Coupe Mystichrome.

Nice car, and yeah I’ve been hunting for a cobra for awhile. Once I saw the mystichrome I couldn’t give it up and had to buy it. Low mileage aswell. It’s needs basically all the maintenance done. It’s in the garage on a battery tender stored away for next year. But I’m going to replace the Intercooler pump, change the engine coolant and clean the reservoir as it’s dirty. Changer the supercharger fluid, change the outer drive belt, change the power steering fluid, change oil and filter. It doesn’t have pulley, just a aftermarket intake and Flowmaster mufflers. Going to try to keep the car stock.

I took my Ecoboost to 145mph when we first got it! That was st 262rwhp! Now that I'm at 518rwhp, with GT500 3.31's, I'm all good for 190mph+!
But on to your car! You have no interest beefing up the engine! Just love the car! It's a Ford icon!

You could always pull the pump out and rebuild it. You can buy the parts at any Home Depot for about $.25 did mine 20k miles ago still runs like a charm

That sounds like it would be a good "How To" thread if it hasn't already been done.
There never really was a complete one. I never took pictures or video of when I did it last time so I can only relay how it was done.
Bought a FRPP pump for mine from Jegs had it the next day. The Shelby pumps work on our cars just need to cut the bracket and reuse yours. I honestly prefer LMR over AM but that’s me.

how long would it take to get a piece shipped across border?
sometimes these will just not spin from sitting..
you can try taking pump off and spraying wd40 into it and see if it frees up..
the brushes are what go bad..
I've taking 2 apart to make 1 and notice both had 1 brush cooked and 1 like new.
